PP-Bizon | Brass (Factory New)
The PP-Bizon | Brass (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec SMG skin with parts of the weapon replaced by brass plating. Factory New shows that brass at its brightest and least oxidized.
Design
Brass takes a straightforward approach — sections of the weapon are swapped for brass plating, giving it a classic, metallic look rather than a painted graphic. Valve is credited with the design, and the flavor text "Fool's gold" pokes fun at the material's shiny, not-quite-precious-metal appearance.
PP-Bizon | Brass (Factory New) Float and Wear
Brass floats across the full 0.00 to 1.00 range, and Factory New sits at the very bottom of it. At this grade the brass plating looks bright and largely unoxidized, giving the cleanest possible read on the metal finish before any tarnishing sets in.
PP-Bizon | Brass Rarity
This finish holds a Mil-Spec Grade rating, the blue-adjacent tier that sits just above Consumer Grade — common enough to be an easy pickup, but a step up from the most basic finishes.
PP-Bizon | Brass Case and Collection
Brass is part of The Dust 2 Collection, which arrived with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update in November 2013. It has no weapon case of its own, and within its collection tier the drop odds sit around 80 percent, making it one of the more commonly pulled finishes when the collection does drop.
PP-Bizon | Brass Patterns
Unlike most Bizon finishes, Brass doesn't have a fixed design — its patina-style texture actually varies a bit by paint seed, so some copies show a cleaner metal surface than others even at the same wear. There's no true blue-gem tier here, but seed does have a small visible effect.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak version of Brass. A Souvenir edition does exist, first distributed in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and reissued in a long string of later Major souvenir packages over the years since. The regular finish here is separate from that tournament-drop line.
PP-Bizon | Brass Price
Factory New sits at the top of the Brass price ladder, and given the finish's overall premium tier despite its modest Mil-Spec rarity, it's the priciest grade for the brightest metal look. Available now on Skin.Land with instant delivery.
FAQ
Does the paint seed matter on the PP-Bizon | Brass?
Somewhat. Unlike most fixed-pattern Bizon finishes, Brass's patina texture varies slightly by seed, so some Factory New copies show a marginally cleaner brass surface than others. There's no dramatic blue-gem tier, but it's worth a look before buying if seed quality matters to you.
Why is Brass a premium-priced skin despite being Mil-Spec?
Rarity tier and market price don't always track together. Brass's Mil-Spec rating reflects its drop rarity, not its demand, and the finish has built enough popularity to sit in the premium price bracket regardless of that lower rarity classification.
Does the PP-Bizon | Brass have a Souvenir version?
Yes, first issued in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and reissued across many later Major souvenir packages since. That's a separate line from the standard finish reviewed here, which has no StatTrak equivalent.
