SSG 08 | Zeno (Field-Tested)
Field-Tested is the middle grade for the SSG 08 | Zeno, where the grayscale flake paint starts picking up visible scuffing and the red diamond accents lose a bit of their crispness. It's the most common exterior you'll run into, balancing look and price.
Design
Valve's team built this finish around a custom metallic flake coat in grayscale tones, punched up with red diamond shapes for contrast. The overall vibe stays modern and tactical rather than showy, which is part of why it holds up reasonably well even as wear increases.
SSG 08 | Zeno (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Float for this skin runs 0.00 through 0.70, and Field-Tested sits comfortably in the middle of that band. At this point you'll notice light scuffing across the flake paint and the red diamonds starting to soften slightly at the edges, though the overall design still reads clearly.
SSG 08 | Zeno Rarity
Zeno holds Mil-Spec Grade status, the entry-level rarity classification in CS2. It's not built to be a chase item on rarity alone — it's a widely available finish from a modern collection drop.
SSG 08 | Zeno Case and Collection
This skin traces back to The Sport & Field Collection, released with The Armory update in October 2024. There's no case attached to it, so it circulates purely through the collection rather than through crate openings.
SSG 08 | Zeno Patterns
Pattern-wise, there's nothing to chase here — the artwork is fixed on every copy. Whatever seed a given unit carries has no bearing on the look, since the gray flake and red diamond design stays constant; only the wear level and float number actually change what you see.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Neither a StatTrak nor a Souvenir version of Zeno exists. It's a regular-finish-only skin, and Souvenir editions specifically require a Major-tournament package, something this finish has never been tied to.
SSG 08 | Zeno Price
Field-Tested lands in the middle of Zeno's price ladder within the wider budget tier, making it the most cost-effective way to pick up the design if a bit of visible scuffing doesn't bother you. Skin.Land lists this exterior alongside the finish's other grades.
FAQ
What does Field-Tested wear look like on the SSG 08 | Zeno?
Expect light scuffing across the grayscale flake paint and slightly softened edges on the red diamond accents, though the design itself is still easy to read. It's a noticeable step down from Minimal Wear but far from the roughest the finish can look.
Is the SSG 08 | Zeno hard to find?
Not particularly. As a Mil-Spec Grade finish from a recent collection with no case gating it, Zeno stays widely available across all its wear grades, including Field-Tested, which tends to be the most commonly traded exterior for most CS2 skins.
Why doesn't the SSG 08 | Zeno have a Souvenir version?
Souvenir weapons are only distributed through Major-tournament souvenir packages handed out during specific events. Zeno's collection has never been featured in one of those packages, which is the sole reason no Souvenir copies of this finish exist.
