Tec-9 | Ossified (Factory New)
The Tec-9 | Ossified (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec pistol finish with a transparent lime green abstract hydrographic laid over a metallic base coat. Factory New is the cleanest condition it exists in, and it's also the grade most Ossified copies fall into.
Design
Valve's Ossified design layers a transparent lime green hydrographic over a metallic base, giving the Tec-9 an abstract, almost see-through green shimmer rather than a flat coat of paint. There's no community-artist credit here since it's a Valve-made finish.
Tec-9 | Ossified (Factory New) Float and Wear
The Ossified is float-capped extremely tight, running only from 0.00 to 0.08, and Factory New covers almost that entire range up to the usual 0.07 ceiling. At this condition the transparent green layer shows its full clarity over the metallic base, with essentially no wear anywhere on the body.
Tec-9 | Ossified Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the most common of the standard weapon tiers, sitting below Restricted, Classified, and Covert. It's an easy grade to pull.
Tec-9 | Ossified Case and Collection
This finish is part of The Aztec Collection, which arrived with the Arms Deal update in August 2013. Mil-Spec skins from that collection make up the large majority of drops, at roughly 80%, which keeps the Ossified plentiful and easy to find.
Tec-9 | Ossified Patterns
There's no pattern variation on the Ossified — the abstract hydrographic sits identically on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" exists to chase. Float is the only thing that differs from one copy to the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Neither StatTrak nor Souvenir versions of this finish were ever made. Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and the Ossified has never been offered in one, so the regular skin is the only form it takes.
Tec-9 | Ossified Price
Factory New sits at the top of the Ossified's price ladder, and this is a premium finish for its rarity grade despite being Mil-Spec. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Why is Factory New so common for the Ossified?
Its float is capped at just 0.08, almost entirely inside the 0.00–0.07 Factory New range. That leaves very little room for the skin to land above the Factory New threshold, which is why most copies you'll see are Factory New rather than a higher wear number.
Is the Ossified expensive for a Mil-Spec skin?
It runs on the pricier side for its rarity grade, landing in a premium price tier despite being Mil-Spec rather than a rarer tier like Classified or Covert. Its tight float cap and clean look help keep demand steady.
Which gloves pair well with the Ossified?
The lime green hydrographic works nicely with green or olive-toned gloves for a matching look, though it also holds up fine paired with darker neutral gloves for more contrast.
