Tec-9 | Remote Control (Battle-Scarred)
The Tec-9 | Remote Control (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified pistol skin with hand-painted dials and switches over a blue base, seen here at its most heavily worn. It's the cheapest way into this design for players who don't mind visible damage.
Design
The finish is built from hand-painted dials and switches laid across a blue body, favoring a busy, functional look over a single graphic. Credit goes to Valve, with the flavor line "Don't touch that dial" tying it together.
Tec-9 | Remote Control (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Remote Control uses the full 0.00–1.00 float range, and Battle-Scarred sits at the very top of it, reaching the most extreme wear the finish allows. Expect heavy fading of the blue base and significant scratching across the dial artwork, though the switch shapes remain visible.
Tec-9 | Remote Control Rarity
Rarity: Classified, the pink tier just below Covert — an uncommon grade regardless of how worn the individual copy looks.
Tec-9 | Remote Control Case and Collection
This finish is drawn from The 2018 Nuke Collection, which came out in September 2018 with the FACEIT 2018 update. Classified-tier pulls from its case land around three percent, and with the case out of active rotation, the market is now where most players find a copy.
Tec-9 | Remote Control Patterns
The dial-and-switch layout never changes between copies of this finish, so there's no paint seed or blue-gem variant to chase, even at the roughest wear grade. Only float and condition set copies apart.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Both a regular and a Souvenir version of Remote Control exist, but StatTrak was never produced. Souvenir copies began with the London 2018 Nuke Souvenir Package and continued through later Major packages awarded at other events.
Tec-9 | Remote Control Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade on the Remote Control price ladder, sitting below Well-Worn as the entry point for the design. It's the way to get this finish into a loadout for the least money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Remote Control still recognizable?
Yes, even at maximum wear the dial-and-switch artwork stays visible enough to identify the finish, though the blue base looks noticeably faded and scuffed. It's the trade-off for the lowest price in the lineup.
Why is Battle-Scarred priced so much lower than Field-Tested?
Because Remote Control spans the full 0.00–1.00 float range, the gap between a lightly worn copy and one at the extreme top of that range is large, and the visual difference matters to buyers. That gap is reflected directly in price.
Does Battle-Scarred also come as a Souvenir copy?
Yes, Souvenir versions exist across every wear grade, including Battle-Scarred, all coming from Major-tournament packages rather than a case. No StatTrak version has ever existed for this finish at any grade.
