Tec-9 | Sandstorm (Well-Worn)
The Tec-9 | Sandstorm (Well-Worn) carries the same purple-and-beige hydrographic graphic in a noticeably rougher state. It's a budget-friendly way to grab this Mil-Spec finish without paying for top condition.
Design
At its core, the Sandstorm is a hydrographic purple and beige print applied over the Tec-9's body, designed by community artist Algis with a scrappy, tarp-inspired feel. The in-game line "It'll take more than a tarp to protect you" nails that improvised vibe.
Tec-9 | Sandstorm (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
The finish is float-capped between 0.10 and 0.70, and Well-Worn sits toward the rougher end of that range. Expect clear paint chipping and grime buildup across the beige patches, though the purple sections hold up a bit better. Since the cap stops the float short of a full 1.0, even the worst copies avoid the most extreme wear a skin can show.
Tec-9 | Sandstorm Rarity
The Sandstorm carries Mil-Spec Grade rarity, the blue and most common tier available from weapon cases. It sits well below the rarer Restricted, Classified, and Covert grades in the same case.
Tec-9 | Sandstorm Case and Collection
Part of The Phoenix Collection, this finish drops from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case introduced with Operation Phoenix in February 2014. As a group, Mil-Spec skins from that case account for roughly 79.92% of its drops, and with the case now retired, the market has become the main source for picking one up.
Tec-9 | Sandstorm Patterns
No random pattern roll affects the Sandstorm — the purple-and-beige artwork lands the same way on every single copy, meaning there's no seed or "blue gem" variant to look for. Only the wear grade and float number change from copy to copy.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Alongside the standard skin, a StatTrak edition of this finish exists and tracks confirmed kills for good once it starts counting. Souvenir copies were never produced, since that variant only comes out of Major-tournament packages, and this finish has never appeared in one.
Tec-9 | Sandstorm Price
Well-Worn ranks near the bottom of the Sandstorm's price ladder, cheaper than Field-Tested and beaten only by Battle-Scarred. It's a solid entry point for anyone who wants the purple-and-beige look without the mid-tier premium. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Well-Worn Sandstorm still look decent in-game?
It shows real wear — chipped paint and grime across the beige patches — but the purple sections and overall print stay recognizable from a normal viewing distance. It's a trade-off between price and polish rather than a totally different-looking skin.
Why doesn't Well-Worn look as rough as some other skins at this grade?
Because the Sandstorm's float never goes past 0.70, even its lower grades stop short of the most extreme wear a Battle-Scarred skin could theoretically show elsewhere. The cap keeps the finish looking milder than its wear name might suggest.
Is Well-Worn a good budget pick over Field-Tested?
If saving money matters more than a cleaner surface, yes. The print stays legible, just with more visible grime, and it typically costs less on the market. Buyers who want the cleanest possible look should still lean toward Field-Tested or Minimal Wear.
