Tec-9 | Slag (Well-Worn)

Tec-9 | Slag (Well-Worn)

The Tec-9 | Slag (Well-Worn) shows the same hand-welded, gray industrial design in a rougher state. It's one of the cheaper ways to add this Mil-Spec finish to a loadout.

Design

Designed by EGO DEATH, the Slag is built to look hand-assembled, its gray tones covering the grip and the welded seams on the receiver. The line "You have insurance, right?" plays into the intentionally rough, patched-up feel of the artwork.

Tec-9 | Slag (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

The Slag's float goes from 0.00 up to 0.90, and Well-Worn sits near the top of that range. Expect noticeable grime and paint thinning across the body, though the design's gritty theme means it never looks out of place even at this wear level. The cap below 1.0 also means even Battle-Scarred stays a touch milder than a fully uncapped skin would.

Tec-9 | Slag Rarity

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the most common, blue-tier grade found in any weapon case. It sits below every rarer grade the Kilowatt Case can produce.

Tec-9 | Slag Case and Collection

The Slag comes from the Kilowatt Case, part of The Kilowatt Collection released in February 2024. Mil-Spec skins make up roughly 79.92% of that case's pulls as a group, and since the case is still active, this finish stays easy to find both on the market and through fresh opens.

Tec-9 | Slag Patterns

Because the gray, hand-welded artwork is fixed across every copy, there's no seed-based pattern variation and no "blue gem" version to chase on the Slag. Float and wear are the only distinguishing factors.

StatTrak & Souvenir

This finish exists as a regular finish and a StatTrak version, the latter permanently counting confirmed kills once it begins tracking. No Souvenir edition exists, since that variant is produced only from Major-tournament packages, and this finish has never been included in one.

Tec-9 | Slag Price

Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the Slag's price ladder, cheaper than Field-Tested and beaten only by Battle-Scarred. It's a solid budget option for a finish that's already inexpensive across the board. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How rough does the Well-Worn Slag look?

It picks up clear grime and paint thinning across the body, but since the design already leans into a rough, hand-welded aesthetic, the extra wear fits right in rather than clashing with the theme.

Does the float cap affect Well-Worn?

Yes — since the Slag tops out at 0.90 rather than a full 1.0, even its Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred copies stay slightly milder than the most extreme wear a skin could theoretically show.

Is Well-Worn a smart budget pick?

It's a reasonable one if price is the top priority, since it's cheaper than Field-Tested. Buyers who want the sharpest possible look should still lean toward Factory New or Minimal Wear instead.
