Tec-9 | Snek-9 (Minimal Wear)
The Tec-9 | Snek-9 (Minimal Wear) carries the same coral-snake-inspired red and yellow bands one notch below the top grade. It's a close match to Factory New for noticeably less money.
Design
PTP, the artist credited with this finish, drew on coral snake markings for the Snek-9's bold red and yellow banding across the Tec-9's body. The line "If red meets yellow, you're a dead fellow" ties the artwork to the real-world warning coloration it's referencing.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
Across the Snek-9's full 0.00–1.00 float range, Minimal Wear falls just past the cleanest point. The red and yellow bands still look bright here, with only the lightest hints of surface wear, making it hard to distinguish from Factory New at a normal viewing distance.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 Rarity
The Snek-9 is Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier that makes up the bulk of any weapon case's drops. It's a common rarity, well below the case's rarer grades.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 Case and Collection
The Snek-9 belongs to The Horizon Collection and comes from the Horizon Case, launched with the A New Horizon update back in August 2018. As a group, Mil-Spec finishes account for roughly 79.92% of that case's opens, and with the Horizon Case retired from active drops, the market has become the main source for this skin.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 Patterns
Every Snek-9 shows the identical coral-snake bands, meaning there's no random pattern index and no "blue gem" seed to hunt for on this finish. Wear grade and float number are the only real differences between copies.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak version of this finish exists alongside the regular one, permanently tracking confirmed kills once activated. No Souvenir copies were ever made, since that variant comes only from Major-tournament packages, and this finish has never been included in one.
Tec-9 | Snek-9 Price
Minimal Wear sits just under Factory New on the price ladder while looking nearly as sharp, making it a strong value pick within this affordable mid-tier finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How close does Minimal Wear look to Factory New?
Very close. The red and yellow bands stay vivid, and any extra wear at this grade is subtle enough that most players won't notice a real difference from across the map.
Is Minimal Wear the smartest buy for the Snek-9?
For a lot of buyers, yes — it keeps most of Factory New's sharpness for less money. Field-Tested and below drop the price further if a slightly rougher look is acceptable.
What gloves pair well with the Snek-9?
Its red-and-yellow coral snake theme works well with red gloves for a matched, high-contrast loadout, or with black or yellow-accented pairs to play off the bold banding instead.
