Tec-9 | Whiteout (Field-Tested)
The Tec-9 | Whiteout (Field-Tested) shows its all-white spray coat with a bit of honest wear starting to show. It's the middle grade of this Restricted, grail-tier pistol skin.
Design
Whiteout keeps to one idea across the entire weapon: a stark, spray-painted white coat with nothing else added. It's a Valve-made finish, paired with the line "It looks pure, but looks can be deceiving."
Tec-9 | Whiteout (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Field-Tested sits in the middle of the Whiteout's 0.06–1.00 range, and the white coat starts to pick up visible marks on the grip and slide, since any wear stands out clearly against a solid white base. This grade shows more surface damage than the darker finishes typically would at the same float.
Tec-9 | Whiteout Rarity
As a Restricted skin, the Whiteout sits in the purple tier — above Mil-Spec, Industrial, and Consumer Grade, and just under Classified and Covert.
Tec-9 | Whiteout Case and Collection
The Whiteout comes from The Train 2025 Collection, tied to the Spring Forward update in March 2025. There's no standalone case for it; supply comes from the Train map's collection drop pool, or from trading and crafting.
Tec-9 | Whiteout Patterns
Pattern-wise, this finish is fixed — the white coat looks the same on every copy, so there's no seed number or rare layout worth chasing. Only wear separates one copy from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
The Whiteout has no StatTrak version. A Souvenir edition does exist, though, debuting in the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package before appearing in further Major souvenir packages.
Tec-9 | Whiteout Price
Field-Tested costs noticeably less than Minimal Wear, offering a more attainable way into this high-end, grail-tier finish for buyers who don't mind a bit of visible wear on the white coat. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does wear show more on the white Tec-9 | Whiteout?
Yes, because there's no camo pattern to mask it, scuffs and marks on a Field-Tested copy stand out more clearly against the solid white base than they would on a busier design. That makes float choice a bit more visually important on this finish.
Is Field-Tested a good value pick for the Whiteout?
It's a reasonable middle ground — noticeably cheaper than Minimal Wear or Factory New while still showing the white coat clearly, even with some visible wear. For buyers priced out of the top grades, it's the more accessible route into a grail-tier finish.
Does the pattern vary between copies of the Whiteout?
No. The design is fixed, so every copy carries the identical white coat regardless of float. There's no seed or "blue gem" variant to search for — wear level is the only thing that changes the look.
