USP-S | Cyrex (Field-Tested)
The USP-S | Cyrex (Field-Tested) is a Restricted-grade pistol skin with a black body, red and white geometric paneling, and a CT icon on the slide. Field-Tested is the most common, wallet-friendly way to own it — a bit of honest wear on a design that still reads clearly.
Design
At its core the finish is a black frame marked by angular red and white stripes and geometric blocks, with white on the trigger guard, grip base, and lower slide, plus a CT gunner icon and technical markings on the slide. It began as a community submission from the artist Nextgenz, and it carries an in-game line: "Imogen was the past Felix, I'm the future - Huxley, The Competition".
USP-S | Cyrex (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Field-Tested falls in the middle of the finish's 0.00–0.55 float range. Here the skin picks up light scratching along the slide edges and around the barrel, but the black base keeps most of it low-key, and the bright red-and-white geometry stays legible regardless of float. This is the grade most players land on when they want the look without paying up for the top conditions.
USP-S | Cyrex Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, positioned above Mil-Spec and below Classified. It's a mid-grade rarity among the standard weapon tiers and a common enough pull from a case.
USP-S | Cyrex Case and Collection
Belonging to The Glove Collection, Cyrex is unboxed from the Glove Case that launched with the Brothers In Arms update in November 2016. The Restricted tier as a group pulls about 15.98% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the Glove Case remains in circulation, supply comes from both unboxing and market sales.
USP-S | Cyrex Patterns
Because the geometry and CT slide icon sit the same way on every copy, Cyrex has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ USP-S | Cyrex does exist and brings a confirmed-kill counter along; it's a scarcer, more expensive drop than the plain skin, and that counter is permanent — it carries over whenever the item is traded or sold. A Souvenir version was never made, since Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and the Glove Case has never been a Major drop.
USP-S | Cyrex Price
Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than Minimal Wear while keeping the design perfectly readable, which is why it's the grade most buyers pick up. It's an affordable mid-tier finish that won't break the bank. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Cyrex look worn?
Only a little. Light scratching shows on the slide edges and near the barrel, but the black base keeps it subtle and the red-and-white geometry stays bright and legible. To most eyes it reads as a solid, presentable copy in-game, which is what makes this grade so popular.
Is Field-Tested the best value Cyrex?
For most buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than Minimal Wear but keeps the design fully readable, and it's the most common grade on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper still if you want the lowest possible entry price and don't mind heavier scuffing.
Which gloves go with the Cyrex?
Its black-red-white palette suits a high-contrast loadout, so red or black gloves work best — a red pair picks up the accent stripes, while black or white-trimmed wraps echo the frame. Together with other red-and-black skins it makes for a clean, coordinated CT loadout.
