USP-S | Cyrex (Minimal Wear)
The USP-S | Cyrex (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted-grade pistol skin with a black body, angular red and white geometry, and a CT icon on the slide. Minimal Wear keeps the finish looking crisp while costing less than Factory New — a strong pick for the tech-styled design.
Design
The look is all engineered contrast: a black frame carrying sharp red and white stripes and geometric blocks, with white accents on the trigger guard, grip base, and lower slide, plus a CT gunner icon and technical markings on the slide. The community artist Nextgenz created it, and it ships with an in-game line: "Imogen was the past Felix, I'm the future - Huxley, The Competition".
USP-S | Cyrex (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
Within the finish's 0.00–0.55 float range, Minimal Wear sits just above Factory New. At this level the paneling still reads sharp, with the red-and-white geometry holding its edges and only the faintest wear on the slide corners if any at all. It's close enough to the top grade that most players won't spot the difference in a match.
USP-S | Cyrex Rarity
Rarity: Restricted. That's the purple tier, one step above Mil-Spec and below Classified — a mid-grade slot among the standard weapon rarities, and a familiar pull from a case.
USP-S | Cyrex Case and Collection
This finish is part of The Glove Collection and comes out of the Glove Case, released alongside the Brothers In Arms update in November 2016. Across the case the Restricted tier drops at roughly 15.98% (that figure is shared among the tier's skins), and with the Glove Case still in circulation, copies turn up from both unboxing and the market.
USP-S | Cyrex Patterns
Cyrex has no random pattern roll — the geometry and the CT slide icon are placed identically on every copy, which means no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth chasing. The only things that set copies apart are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There is a StatTrak™ USP-S | Cyrex, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it drops more rarely and costs more than the standard skin, and its counter is permanent, staying with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir version exists — Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament packages, and the Glove Case has never been a Major drop.
USP-S | Cyrex Price
Minimal Wear sits just below Factory New on the price ladder while keeping nearly the same look, which makes it a popular way to own the design. It stays firmly in affordable mid-tier territory for a USP finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Minimal Wear Cyrex look worn?
Hardly. At Minimal Wear the surface stays sharp, with the red-and-white geometry holding its edges and at most a trace of wear on the slide corners under close inspection. In a match it reads essentially the same as Factory New, which is a big part of why this grade is such a value.
Is Minimal Wear the best value Cyrex?
For a lot of buyers, yes. It costs less than Factory New but looks almost identical, and it avoids the visible scratching that shows up at Field-Tested and below. Field-Tested and Well-Worn are cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind some scuffing.
Which gloves go with the Cyrex?
Its black-red-white palette suits a high-contrast loadout, so red or black gloves work best — a red pair picks up the accent stripes, while black or white-trimmed wraps echo the frame. It slots neatly into a red-and-black CT setup with other tactical skins.
