USP-S | Dark Water (Field-Tested)

USP-S | Dark Water (Field-Tested)

The USP-S | Dark Water (Field-Tested) is a Restricted pistol skin with an aquatic-stripe pattern in charcoal metallic paint over a chrome base. Field-Tested is the more affordable way to own it, adding a touch of honest wear to a dark finish that shrugs most of it off.

Design

The look leans on texture over color: charcoal metallic paints of varying reflectivity form an aquatic-stripe pattern, all riding on a chrome base coat that keeps the dark tones looking wet and metallic. It's a Valve design, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Water gives life, but it can also take it..."

USP-S | Dark Water (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Field-Tested is the most worn grade this skin comes in. The finish is capped at float 0.26 — nowhere near the full scale — so there's no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred, and even here the pistol only picks up light scuffing along the slide and edges. The dark charcoal base hides that wear well, keeping the aquatic pattern readable, which makes this the practical value grade of the pair.

USP-S | Dark Water Rarity

Rarity: Restricted. That's the purple tier, ranked above Mil-Spec and below Classified among the standard weapon grades — a solid step up from the common blue drops.

USP-S | Dark Water Case and Collection

This finish is part of The Arms Deal Collection and comes out of the CS:GO Weapon Case — the first case ever, launched with the Arms Deal update in August 2013. Across that case the Restricted tier pulls at roughly 15.98% (a rate shared among the tier's skins), and because this original case left the active drop pool long ago, supply is capped, so buyers pick up most copies on the market instead of unboxing them.

USP-S | Dark Water Patterns

Dark Water carries no random pattern roll — the chrome base and aquatic stripes are placed identically on every copy, meaning there's no paint seed or "blue gem" worth hunting. The only things that set one copy apart from another are its wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There is a StatTrak™ variant, which tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, more expensive drop from the CS:GO Weapon Case, and its counter is permanent, staying with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir version was ever made — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this skin was never issued in one.

USP-S | Dark Water Price

Field-Tested is the value end of this skin's two-grade range, cheaper than Minimal Wear while keeping nearly the same dark, metallic look thanks to the wear-hiding base. It's still a premium USP-S finish, just the smarter-priced way in. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested Dark Water look worn?

Barely. Because the range tops out at float 0.26, Field-Tested is the most worn this skin ever gets, and that's still mild — expect only light scuffing on the slide and edges. The charcoal base masks it well, so the aquatic pattern and chrome sheen stay easy to read at a glance.

Is Field-Tested the best value Dark Water?

For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Minimal Wear but looks almost identical, since the dark finish hides the small amount of wear this capped range allows. With only two grades in existence, it's simply the more accessible of the two rather than a heavily compromised one.

Why are there only two grades of this skin?

The finish is float-capped between 0.10 and 0.26. The low cap rules out Factory New, and the high cap of 0.26 falls short of the Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred ranges, so the game can only produce Minimal Wear and Field-Tested copies of the skin.
