USP-S | Guardian (Minimal Wear)
The USP-S | Guardian (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted pistol skin, a cobalt-blue sidearm with the CT logo stenciled on the magazine. Minimal Wear keeps the color vivid with only the faintest edge wear, sitting just below Factory New for a bit less.
Design
At its core the finish is a smooth cobalt-blue coat across the frame and slide, marked by a lone CT logo stenciled onto the magazine — no busy graphics, just clean lines. The community artist J4CK designed it, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "I don't have to like you, I have to keep you safe — Carmen Cocinero, Extraction Expert."
USP-S | Guardian (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
Minimal Wear falls just above Factory New on a skin that spans only 0.00–0.38. At this grade the blue stays rich and the stencil legible, with maybe a touch of fading right on the sharpest edges if you look closely. For most players it reads as good as new from arm's length, which is what makes it such an easy pick.
USP-S | Guardian Rarity
Rarity: Restricted. That's the purple tier, sitting mid-pack among the standard weapon grades — one step above Mil-Spec and one below Classified. It's a recognizable color without being a top-end pull.
USP-S | Guardian Case and Collection
Guardian belongs to The Phoenix Collection and comes out of the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, which launched with Operation Phoenix in February 2014. Across the case the Restricted tier pulls at roughly 15.98% (a figure shared among the tier's skins), and since the Operation Phoenix Case has left the active drop pool, supply is capped — buyers pick copies up on the market rather than unboxing them.
USP-S | Guardian Patterns
There's no random pattern roll on Guardian — the cobalt coat and CT stencil are placed identically on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth chasing. The only things that set copies apart are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There is a StatTrak™ USP-S | Guardian, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it drops more rarely and costs more than the standard skin, and its counter is permanent, staying with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir version exists — Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament packages, and the Phoenix Collection has never been a Major drop.
USP-S | Guardian Price
Minimal Wear sits a rung under Factory New on the price ladder while looking nearly identical from normal viewing distance. It's an affordable mid-tier USP-S that most players consider the sweet spot between condition and cost. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Minimal Wear Guardian look worn?
Barely. The solid cobalt coat shows only the lightest fading on the sharpest edges, and the CT stencil is untouched. Because there's no pattern or texture to disrupt, a Minimal Wear copy reads essentially as good as a Factory New one to most eyes, which is a big part of its appeal.
Is Minimal Wear the best value Guardian?
For many buyers, yes. It costs less than Factory New but looks almost the same on a plain-colored skin like this, so you keep the vivid blue without paying top grade. Field-Tested is cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind a little visible wear.
Why does Guardian only come in three grades?
The finish is float-capped at 0.38, well under the standard 1.0. Because the paint never wears past that point, the skin tops out at Field-Tested and never reaches Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred — so even its most worn copies stay relatively tidy.
