USP-S | Orange Anolis (Factory New)
The USP-S | Orange Anolis (Factory New) is a Restricted pistol skin — a vibrant orange anodized coat wrapped in a reptilian lizard-scale pattern. Factory New is the cleanest grade the finish comes in, showing the scalework at its most saturated and precise.
Design
Orange Anolis takes its cue from the Anolis lizard, laying an "Anodized Multicolored" candy coat over the slide in bright, warm orange and running an overlapping reptile-scale texture across the surface. It's a Valve-made finish, and it ships with a fitting in-game line that plays on both meanings of the word: "Painted to scale."
USP-S | Orange Anolis (Factory New) Float and Wear
Float runs from 0.00 to 0.37 on this finish, and Factory New sits at the very bottom of that band. Here the orange reads at full intensity and the scale pattern stays razor-sharp with no scuffing anywhere on the slide. If you want the design exactly as the artist intended, this is the top of the ladder — the grade collectors chase.
USP-S | Orange Anolis Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, sitting one step above Mil-Spec and two below Covert among the standard weapon grades. It's a mid-to-upper grade that's a solid step up from the common blue pulls.
USP-S | Orange Anolis Case and Collection
This finish belongs to The 2021 Dust 2 Collection, introduced with Operation Riptide in September 2021. Rather than a weapon case, the collection is distributed through Dust II Souvenir packages handed out at Majors. The Restricted tier drops at roughly 15.98% (a rate shared across the tier's skins), so supply leans on tournament packages and the resale market instead of ordinary unboxing.
USP-S | Orange Anolis Patterns
The anodized scale pattern lands the same way on every copy, so there's no random paint seed or "blue gem" roll to hunt down here. Nothing about the artwork shifts from one unit to the next — only wear and float set individual copies apart.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak version of this pistol — StatTrak comes from weapon cases, and this finish was never placed in one. A Souvenir version does exist, though: Souvenir weapons drop from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and Orange Anolis first appeared in the Stockholm 2021 Dust II Souvenir Package, giving it a tournament-stamped collector variant.
USP-S | Orange Anolis Price
Factory New sits at the top of the finish's price ladder as the highest grade on offer — a clear step above Minimal Wear and a premium pick within the USP-S lineup, without straying into grail money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth the premium over Minimal Wear?
If condition matters to you, yes. Factory New shows the orange at peak saturation and keeps the scale pattern edge-perfect, which is what collectors pay up for. That said, Minimal Wear looks nearly identical from playing distance for less, so the premium is really about owning the top grade rather than a visible difference.
Which gloves suit the Orange Anolis?
Its warm orange palette pairs best with earthy, high-contrast wraps — tan, brown, or orange-accented gloves echo the lizard-scale tones, while a dark pair lets the bright coat pop. It slots naturally into a desert-themed Dust 2 loadout.
Does the scale pattern vary between copies?
No. The anodized artwork is fixed, so every unit wears the same reptile-scale layout in the same spots. There's no pattern index or rare variant to seek out — the only things that change from copy to copy are the float value and the wear grade.
