USP-S | Orange Anolis (Field-Tested)
The USP-S | Orange Anolis (Field-Tested) is a Restricted pistol skin sporting a bright orange anodized coat and a reptilian lizard-scale pattern, here with a touch of honest wear. Field-Tested is the most affordable and most common way to run the finish, and the busy scalework hides light scuffing nicely.
Design
Modeled on the Anolis lizard, the finish wraps the slide in an "Anodized Multicolored" candy coat of warm, punchy orange and overlays an interlocking reptile-scale texture. It's Valve's own design, complete with an in-game line that puns on the word both ways: "Painted to scale."
USP-S | Orange Anolis (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
This finish is float-capped at 0.37, so Field-Tested is as worn as it ever gets — there's no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred grade, and even the roughest copy stays milder than a full-1.0 skin. At Field-Tested the slide picks up light scratching along the edges, but the dense orange scale pattern absorbs it so the design still reads clearly and colorful in-game.
USP-S | Orange Anolis Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier. It stands one level above Mil-Spec and two beneath Covert in the standard grade order, making it a solid mid-to-upper rarity rather than a common blue-tier pull.
USP-S | Orange Anolis Case and Collection
The skin is a member of The 2021 Dust 2 Collection, which launched with Operation Riptide in September 2021. There's no weapon case behind it — the collection is delivered through the Dust II Souvenir packages given out at Majors. With the Restricted tier dropping around 15.98% (that rate is shared across the tier), the market carries most of the supply rather than fresh package openings.
USP-S | Orange Anolis Patterns
There's no random pattern variation on this finish — the anodized scale artwork is fixed and appears the same on each copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth tracking. The only meaningful differences between units are their float and wear grade.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You won't find a StatTrak edition here, because StatTrak versions are minted from weapon cases and this finish never went into one. A Souvenir variant is out there, though — Souvenir weapons come strictly from Major souvenir packages, and Orange Anolis first surfaced in the Stockholm 2021 Dust II Souvenir Package, so a tournament-stamped copy exists next to the regular finish.
USP-S | Orange Anolis Price
Field-Tested is the entry point of the finish's ladder, priced under both Minimal Wear and Factory New. It's the budget-friendly route into a premium USP-S skin for players who care more about the bold look than a spotless surface. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Field-Tested Orange Anolis worth buying?
For value hunters, absolutely. It's the cheapest grade of the finish, and the busy orange scale pattern disguises the light edge wear so well that the skin still looks vivid in-game. You give up a little surface polish versus Minimal Wear, but you get the same eye-catching design for the lowest cost.
Why is there no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred Orange Anolis?
The finish is float-capped at 0.37, and the game never rolls a copy above that. Well-Worn starts at 0.38 and Battle-Scarred higher still, so neither grade can exist here — Field-Tested is the most worn condition the skin reaches, and it stays milder than a heavily battered full-range skin.
How worn does Field-Tested actually look?
Only lightly. Expect some fine scratching along the slide edges on close inspection, but nothing dramatic — the cap at 0.37 keeps wear in check, and the dense scale texture masks what's there. From normal playing distance it reads as a clean, brightly colored pistol.
