USP-S | Road Rash (Field-Tested)

The USP-S | Road Rash (Field-Tested) is a Restricted pistol skin with a gray, sandpaper-worn body and a printed flying bullet. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it — a bit of honest wear on a finish that was designed to look battered anyway, for well under the top grades.

Design

Valve built Road Rash as a tactical, industrial piece: a rugged gray coat, the image of a flying bullet stamped across it, and a sandpaper weathering pass that leaves the whole pistol looking hard-used. The rough character is intentional artwork, not a byproduct of condition.

USP-S | Road Rash (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Spanning the full 0.00–1.00 float scale, Road Rash reaches its middle band at Field-Tested. Here the finish picks up added scratching along the slide and edges, but because the base is already meant to look scuffed, that extra wear reads as part of the theme rather than damage. The flying-bullet print stays clearly legible throughout.

USP-S | Road Rash Rarity

Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, ranked above Mil-Spec and beneath the Classified and Covert grades. Pulling this rarity is genuinely uncommon.

USP-S | Road Rash Case and Collection

Road Rash comes from The Overpass Collection, released with Operation Breakout in June 2014. The Restricted tier drops at roughly 15.98% as a group (that rate is shared across the tier's skins). It's distributed through Overpass Souvenir packages from Major tournaments rather than an active weapon case, so the market is where most copies change hands.

USP-S | Road Rash Patterns

No random pattern applies to this finish — the gray coat and flying-bullet image sit the same on every copy, meaning there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Wear and float are the only variables between copies.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak version was never made: the kill-counter tech ships inside weapon cases, and Road Rash didn't come from one, so no such variant exists. Souvenir copies are a different story — they debuted in the ESL One Cologne 2014 Overpass Souvenir Package and carry the gold text and event stickers that come with a Major drop.

USP-S | Road Rash Price

Field-Tested is the affordable middle of the range — cheaper than the top grades while keeping the design fully readable, which is why it's the copy most players end up with. It's still a premium USP-S finish that won't demand grail money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does Field-Tested wear hurt the Road Rash look?

Not really. The finish is designed to look sandpaper-battered from the start, so the added Field-Tested scratching folds into that theme instead of standing out as damage. The flying-bullet print and gray coat stay clearly recognizable, which is a big part of why this grade is so popular.

Is Field-Tested the smart-value Road Rash?

For most buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than Factory New and Minimal Wear but keeps the design intact thanks to the intentionally worn base. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and accept heavier scuffing.

Which gloves work with Road Rash?

The gray, grimy palette suits neutral, utilitarian wraps — gray, olive, or tan hand wraps stay on-theme, while black gloves add clean contrast. Bright, saturated gloves tend to clash with the deliberately worn-down look, so it's best to keep the loadout muted.
