USP-S | Stainless (Battle-Scarred)
The USP-S | Stainless (Battle-Scarred) is a Mil-Spec Grade pistol skin with a matte black frame and a polished stainless-steel slide, in its most heavily weathered condition. It's the cheapest way into the silver-on-black design, trading slide shine for the lowest entry price.
Design
The finish keeps it simple: a matte black body under a polished stainless-steel slide, an industrial, minimalist look built on the contrast between silver metal and a dark frame rather than any graphic. It's a Valve design, and the steel slide is its one defining feature.
USP-S | Stainless (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
This finish runs a float of 0.00–0.80, and Battle-Scarred occupies the top of that band (roughly 0.45–0.80). Here the slide's polish is largely gone, replaced by dark toning and heavy texturing, and the black frame wears its scuffs openly. Note that the float is capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, so even the roughest copies stop short of the most extreme wear a skin can reach — the design stays legible at its worst.
USP-S | Stainless Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier, the most common of the named weapon grades. It sits low on the rarity ladder, an accessible spot that helps explain how common this USP-S finish is.
USP-S | Stainless Case and Collection
Sitting in The Arms Deal 3 Collection, the skin drops from CS:GO Weapon Case 3, released together with the "Introducing the CZ75-Auto" update in February 2014. The Mil-Spec tier as a whole pulls at roughly 79.92% from that case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because it's one of the older cases, the market — not unboxing — is where most copies come from today.
USP-S | Stainless Patterns
There's no random pattern roll on this finish — the black frame and polished slide are identical from copy to copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth hunting. The only distinguishing factors are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak™ version, sourced from CS:GO Weapon Case 3 with a confirmed-kill counter added; it's rarer and pricier than the standard drop, and the counter is permanent, staying with the item through every trade or sale. There's no Souvenir variant, as Souvenir weapons are made only from Major-tournament souvenir packages and this finish was never included in one.
USP-S | Stainless Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the design for players who value the look over a pristine slide. If you want the silver-on-black USP-S for as little as possible, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Stainless still recognizable?
Yes. Even with the slide's polish worn down to dark toning and heavy texture, the silver slide against the black frame keeps the design readable at a glance in game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the look entirely.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Stainless look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear on the scale. Paired with a matte black frame that hides scuffing, the pistol stays more legible here than many lighter skins do at the same grade.
Is Battle-Scarred worth it over Well-Worn?
Only if you're chasing the lowest possible price. Well-Worn keeps a bit more life in the slide for a small step up in cost, so it's the pick if you want slightly better condition. Battle-Scarred is for buyers who just want the cheapest genuine Stainless in their loadout.
