USP-S | The Traitor (Field-Tested)
The USP-S | The Traitor (Field-Tested) is a Covert pistol skin with a dramatic red finish inspired by the Hanged Man tarot card. Field-Tested is the most common, most accessible way to own it, adding a touch of honest wear for well under the higher grades.
Design
The look is all about that bold red palette, custom painted using the Hanged Man tarot card as its source — an illustrated, thematic finish rather than a flat color. It came from community artists Zaphk, OniLolz, and 2Minds, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Past failures are the blueprints for future success."
USP-S | The Traitor (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Field-Tested lands in the middle of the 0.00–1.00 float range. Light scratching creeps in along the edges and raised areas, but the busy red artwork absorbs it well, so copies still read boldly at a glance. This is the grade most players picture when they think of the skin — the balance point between looks and cost.
USP-S | The Traitor Rarity
Rarity: Covert — the red grade, the highest tier of standard weapon skin, one step under the knives. Pulling one from a case is genuinely uncommon.
USP-S | The Traitor Case and Collection
Belonging to The Snakebite Collection, The Traitor is unboxed from the Snakebite Case that launched alongside the End of Broken Fang update in May 2021. The Covert tier as a group drops around 0.64% of the time from the case (that odds figure is shared across the tier), making it a rare grade to land.
USP-S | The Traitor Patterns
The Traitor carries no random pattern variation: the red artwork sits the same on each copy, which means there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Copies differ only by wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak™ version, which tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, more expensive drop from the Snakebite Case than the plain skin, and that counter is permanent — it follows the item through every trade or sale. A Souvenir version was never made, since Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and the Snakebite Case has never been a Major drop.
USP-S | The Traitor Price
Field-Tested is the value entry to the finish — cheaper and far more common than the higher grades while keeping the bold red look mostly intact. It's the most approachable price on what is still a high-end, grail-tier pistol. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Traitor look worn?
A little, but not badly. Expect light scratching on the edges and slide, though the dense red artwork masks it so the skin still looks striking in-game. The core design and color come through clearly, which is why Field-Tested is the go-to grade for players who want the look affordably.
Is Field-Tested the cheapest Traitor?
Not quite — Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred sit below it and cost less, but they carry heavier, more obvious wear. Field-Tested is the lowest grade that still looks close to clean, which for most buyers is the better trade-off between price and appearance.
Which gloves go with The Traitor?
Its dramatic red palette calls for a warm, high-contrast loadout, so red or black gloves work best — a red pair echoes the finish, while black wraps let the artwork pop. It slots neatly into a red-themed setup alongside other crimson skins.
