The M4A1-S | Fatal Glitch (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified rifle skin with a bright green pearlescent finish and a glitch-inspired concept, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the design, trading surface polish for the lowest entry point.
Design
The Fatal Glitch keeps a single strong idea: a glitch-inspired concept rendered in bright green pearlescent paint on the CS2 M4A1-S, with a sheen that plays across the surface under light. It was designed by Valve rather than a community workshop artist, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "When keeping a low profile isn't an option."
M4A1-S | Fatal Glitch (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Battle-Scarred sits at the top of the finish's full 0.00–1.00 float range, from about 0.45 all the way to 1.00. Because the range isn't capped, this grade reaches the extreme end of the wear scale — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, and the pearlescent layer is worn thin in places. The bright green still survives as the anchor that keeps the skin readable at its roughest.
M4A1-S | Fatal Glitch Rarity
Rarity: Classified, the pink tier. It sits directly below Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades, and it's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.
M4A1-S | Fatal Glitch Case and Collection
The Fatal Glitch sits in The Spy Tech Collection, released together with the Armory / Season 5 update in July 2026. As a group the Classified tier drops at roughly 3.2% (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the finish is a recent addition, most of its supply is still working its way onto the market.
M4A1-S | Fatal Glitch Patterns
Since the pearlescent green hydrographic is placed identically on every Fatal Glitch, the finish has no random pattern variation — there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt for. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You won't find a StatTrak Fatal Glitch. Since StatTrak variants are produced through weapon cases and this finish isn't distributed that way, no confirmed-kill counter exists for it. There's no Souvenir variant to look for either — Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament packages, and The Spy Tech Collection has never featured as a Major drop.

Battle-Scarred is the lowest grade of the finish — the entry-level way to run the design for players who care more about the look than the condition. Is the Battle-Scarred Fatal Glitch still recognizable?
Yes. Despite heavy scuffing and thinning of the pearlescent layer, the bright green and the glitch motif keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the look entirely.
Why does Battle-Scarred reach such heavy wear here?
Because the finish uses the full 0.00–1.00 float range with no cap, its Battle-Scarred copies can climb to the extreme high end of the wear scale — unlike skins whose float is capped lower and never reach that point. That's why this grade shows the most paint loss the Fatal Glitch can carry.
Which gloves suit a worn Fatal Glitch?
The same bold pairing works at any grade: green or black gloves flatter the bright pearlescent palette, with green wraps echoing the finish and dark ones letting the color stand out. On a Battle-Scarred copy, dark gloves can help balance the heavier surface wear.
