USP-S | Pathfinder (Field-Tested)
The USP-S | Pathfinder (Field-Tested, FT) is an Industrial Grade pistol skin with a gray finish and a stencilled isometric labyrinth, here in a lightly worn state. It's the most affordable way into the maze design, and thanks to a low float cap it never looks truly beaten up.
Design
This Valve-designed finish is a versatile gray coat spray-painted with a stencil of an isometric labyrinth — a no-nonsense look that leans on the geometric maze rather than color. It comes with a fitting in-game line: "Personally I prefer the 4th edition, but the customer is always right" — Booth, Arms Dealer.
USP-S | Pathfinder (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Field-Tested is the most worn grade this finish reaches, and here's the key detail: the Pathfinder is float-capped at 0.35, so even at the bottom of its range it never approaches the Well-Worn (WW) or Battle-Scarred (BS) territory of a full 0.00–1.00 skin. Expect light scratching along the edges and slide with the gray coat thinning a touch, but the labyrinth stencil stays clearly readable — this is as worn as the design gets, and it stays mild.
USP-S | Pathfinder Rarity
Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light-blue grade toward the bottom of the standard weapon tiers. Being a common pull is what keeps this finish an accessible, everyday option rather than a rarity.
USP-S | Pathfinder Case and Collection
The Pathfinder sits in The Norse Collection, which launched with Operation Shattered Web in November 2019. It's a collection drop rather than a weapon-case skin, so most copies reach players through the collection's drop pool and the open market instead of case openings.

Because the labyrinth stencil is applied the same way on every copy, the Pathfinder carries no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. The only things separating copies are wear and float.

FAQ
How worn does the Field-Tested Pathfinder look?
Milder than you'd expect. Because the finish is float-capped at 0.35, its Field-Tested copies show only light edge scratching and a slightly thinned gray coat — nowhere near the heavy battering of a Battle-Scarred skin, which this finish can't reach. The labyrinth stencil stays clearly legible throughout.
Is Field-Tested worth buying over Minimal Wear (MW)?
If price is your priority, yes. Field-Tested is the cheapest grade and, thanks to the low float cap, still keeps the maze design readable with only light wear. Minimal Wear looks a bit tidier for a modest step up, so choose Field-Tested when you want the design for as little as possible.
Why doesn't the Field-Tested Pathfinder look badly beaten up?
Its float is capped at 0.35 rather than the full 1.00, so Field-Tested is the roughest condition the skin ever reaches. There are no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred grades to drop to, which means even the most worn Pathfinder shows only light scratching and keeps the labyrinth stencil intact.
