Strategy plays a key role in the battles of professionals in matchmaking. If you've watched matches of teams like Liquid, Navi, or Faze, you've probably noticed how players gather information about their opponents and look for their weaknesses. Duels between professionals tend to be much faster than those between amateurs.

However, this doesn't change the fact that you can't do much in CS2 without good shooting skills.

To train these skills, special 1v1 maps have been developed, where you can focus solely on shooting and not think about interacting with your teammates.

To achieve great results in the game, we recommend that you train hard. If you don't plan to shine in the professional arena, 1v1 maps are a great way to relax and have fun after school or work.

Counter Strike has had many maps throughout its existence, so you're sure to find something interesting for yourself.

Best 1v1 Maps in CS:GO and CS2

Next, we will tell you, in our opinion, about the most cool maps. We have grouped these maps into several blocks. Of course, we do not claim to be the absolute truth, as the selection below is just our subjective opinion. You may not agree with us. If you know about great maps that are not mentioned here, please write about them in the comments.

Classical Maps

It includes:

  1. aim_map_pro - a minimalistic map with a very rich history, as it was popular back in CS:GO days. Perhaps the most ideally suited for shooting training and prefires due to its minimalistic design and almost no cover. The gunfights on it are very hardcore, you will have to constantly move if you want to survive.

  1. aim_redline. This map has an interesting name if I may say so. There is indeed a red line on it, and this line divides the map into two completely symmetrical sides. This map is very popular among professionals, as its symmetry allows you to assess your shooting skills and understand where you excel or fall short compared to your opponent. If you enjoy shooting with automatic weapons, aim_redline may be the best choice for you.

AWP Maps

There are 2 maps in this group that we just can't mention.

The first one is awp_india. Among CS gamers, it is considered a standard for sniper training. Its design is very simple: several long corridors with cover, which allows you to shoot at each other from a long distance and use cover to reload weapon or change position without being noticed. It is perfect for practicing predicting your opponent's movements and practicing shooting while moving.

The second is awp_lego_2020. If you like Lego construction sets, you'll probably enjoy this map. Lego map has a more equal balance between long-range and close-range combat, while the India map tends to favor long-range gunfights. We can confidently say that it is the best map for practicing flickshots.

If you want to make the AWP game more interesting and exciting, then it will be much easier to do so with a bright skin. Visit SkinLand, where you will find skins to suit every taste and budget.

Other Interesting Maps

There are also many maps developed by active members of the gaming community. We invite you to get acquainted with the most famous developers.

The first of them is Yesber. His Yprac maps still help professionals improving their skills and help amateurs having fun. The community will appreciate Yesber for the customizability of his maps and timely updates. Yesber constantly monitors player feedback, making timely improvements and bug fixes.

Yesber specializes in creating the following maps:

  • For practicing aim.

  • For training smokes

  • For improving prefires.

  • For training flash grenades.

  • For practicing actions on maps included in official matchmaking.

And you can't pass by uLLetical - another developer of 1v1 training maps.

In their works, uLLetical focuses on realism, on situations that every gamer can face in competitions. Therefore, uLLetical's creations will be more useful for people who want to become professionals in CS2 than for those who just want to have fun.

The developer pays special attention to maps that practice the retake of captured plant and the control of weapon recoil.

How to Set Up and Play 1v1 Maps in CS2?

There are two main ways to play 1v1. We will provide you with detailed instructions on how to play both versions without any issues.

Workshop

We will not now go into detail about whether you have CS2 installed or how to make an account on it. These are the basic requirements without which the game is impossible.

So, to get started, you'll need to launch Counter Strike on Steam. Go to the "Workshop" through the main game page. There, you'll see a search bar, where you can enter the name of the map you're interested in. Yes, unlike the second method we'll discuss later, you'll need to know the name of the map beforehand. We've provided a list of our favorite maps above, so feel free to use it if you wish. Once you've entered the name, click on "Subscribe," and the map will begin downloading.

After that, we recommend restarting Counter Strike. Sometimes, the downloaded map may not appear in your personal list of custom maps. In most cases, restarting the game resolves this issue.

Return to the game's main page and navigate to "Play." The downloaded map will be available either in the "Official Competitive Modes" tab, in "Normal," or in "Warmup." Launch the map and enjoy the game.

If a reboot doesn't work and the map doesn't appear in your list of custom maps, you can use the console.

Turn it on through the game settings, start any game, no matter with bots or not. Activate the console and write, for example, map awp_india and press Enter. Instead of awp_india, you can substitute the name of any other map.

Community Browser Server

To launch it, go to “Play” from the main page of the game, and from there click on “Community Browser Server". We recommend using filters to find the maps you are interested in.

For example, in the “Map” field you can write the name of the map you are interested in. Keep in mind that the name is entered as it is, without other words, as in console commands.

If you do not want to apply filtering, then an unsorted list of servers will be presented to your attention. We advise you to take a closer look at ping before making a choice. If the ping is high, it will be uncomfortable to play due to delays and lags.

Once you've made your choice, click on the server and then press "Connect".

If you still can't log in, try the console commands we mentioned earlier in the "Workshop" section.

That's all for now, and we wish you exciting and memorable duels with interesting opponents!
