★ Skeleton Knife | Slaughter (Field-Tested)
The ★ Skeleton Knife | Slaughter (Field-Tested) carries the same zebra-stripe base under a candy-red coat as the rest of the finish, here in its most worn available condition. Field-Tested is the most accessible grade of this famous-pattern Covert knife finish, trading some surface polish for a noticeably lower price.
Design
The blade starts as a zebra-stripe base in aluminum and chrome paints, then gets sealed under a saturated red candy coat that gives Slaughter its name. Its in-game flavor text reads: "Valeria doesn't pay Javier to ask questions... she pays him to pry out answers."
★ Skeleton Knife | Slaughter (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Field-Tested covers the 0.15–0.26 band, the top of this finish's float range, since Slaughter is capped at 0.26 rather than running the full 1.00 scale. That cap means even the roughest available copy stays milder than a Battle-Scarred grade on a full-range skin — expect light surface softening on the red coat rather than deep scratching, with the zebra base and candy finish both still clearly readable.
Skeleton Knife | Slaughter Rarity
Rarity here is Covert star, the rare special "knife" classification — a fundamentally rarer pull than any ordinary Covert weapon skin, coming from its own dedicated slot in the case's drop table.
Skeleton Knife | Slaughter Case and Collection
No weapon collection applies; Slaughter comes from the Shattered Web Case originally, with the Fracture Case also producing it. Either way, pulling a knife happens at the standard rare-special rate of around 0.26 percent.
Skeleton Knife | Slaughter Patterns
Even at Field-Tested, the paint-seed hunt still applies: the red spatter over the zebra base is laid down differently on every copy and stays fixed for the life of that copy. A centered, heart-shaped cluster of red is worth more than a scattered, thin spray, and light wear at this grade doesn't meaningfully change how that pattern reads — the seed, not the float number, is what collectors are really pricing.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak edition with a permanent confirmed-kill counter exists alongside the regular version. There's no Souvenir Slaughter in any grade — Major-tournament souvenir packages simply never include knives, by design.
Skeleton Knife | Slaughter Price
Field-Tested is the most accessible grade on the Slaughter's own ladder, sitting below both Minimal Wear and Factory New. It's still an upper-mid finish within this knife's full lineup — just the friendliest entry point into owning one. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Field-Tested Slaughter look?
Lightly. Expect some softening on the candy-red coat rather than deep gouges, since the finish's float never climbs past 0.26 to begin with. The zebra base and red spatter both stay clearly visible, so it still reads as a proper Slaughter at a glance.
Why doesn't the Field-Tested Slaughter look heavily battered?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.26 instead of running to a full 1.00, Field-Tested here is the worst wear the skin ever reaches — there's no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred grade at all, and this top end still stays fairly mild compared to a full-range skin's roughest copies.
What's the cheapest way to buy a Slaughter?
Field-Tested is the most accessible of the three available grades, giving you the full zebra-and-red-candy look and a chance at a good pattern seed for less than Minimal Wear or Factory New ask.
