AK-47 | Cartel (Minimal Wear)

AK-47 | Cartel (Minimal Wear)

The AK-47 | Cartel (Minimal Wear) is a Classified rifle skin finished in dark, polished metal engraved with skulls, roses, and serpents in a gothic Day-of-the-Dead cartel style. Minimal Wear keeps the design looking almost untouched while costing a step less than Factory New.

Design

Cartel wraps the receiver and body in dark, polished metal engraved with skulls, roses, and serpents — a gothic Day-of-the-Dead cartel look built from dark tones and red accents, with the natural wood stock and handguard kept as they are. The artist Anders created this community design, which comes with a fitting in-game line: "One little squeeze turns every morning into the Day of the Dead."

AK-47 | Cartel (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

At Minimal Wear the finish shows only the faintest handling, mostly along the edges and the top of the receiver, and the dark polished base hides what little there is. The engraved skulls, roses, and serpents stay legible, and the wood furniture looks close to new. It's a strong middle ground — near-Factory New sharpness for less outlay.

AK-47 | Cartel Rarity

Cartel sits at Classified rarity — the pink tier, which ranks second from the top of the standard weapon grades, right under Covert. It's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.

AK-47 | Cartel Case and Collection

Cartel belongs to The Chroma Collection and comes out of the Chroma Case, which launched in January 2015. Across the case, the Classified tier as a whole drops about 3.2% of the time, and every copy in existence traces back to that source — most are picked up on the market rather than unboxed.

AK-47 | Cartel Patterns

Cartel has no random pattern variation — the engraved skulls, roses, and serpents land the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to chase. Only wear and float set one copy apart from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's a StatTrak™ AK-47 | Cartel, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it drops more rarely and costs more than the standard skin, and that counter is permanent, staying with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir version exists, though — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Cartel was never part of a Major drop.

AK-47 | Cartel Price

Minimal Wear sits just below Factory New on the price ladder while keeping nearly the same look, which makes it a smart pick for buyers who want a sharp-looking Cartel without paying the top grade. It's an affordable mid-tier finish within the AK-47 lineup. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Minimal Wear worth it over Factory New?

For most buyers, yes. Minimal Wear looks very close to Factory New — the dark polished base hides the little wear there is — but costs a step less. Factory New is the pick if you want the absolute sharpest engraving and don't mind paying up; otherwise Minimal Wear gets you nearly the same look for less.

Does Minimal Wear look worn in-game?

Barely. Any wear at this grade is confined to edges and high points, and the dark metal base masks it well, so the skin reads as clean at normal viewing distance. The engraved skulls, roses, and serpents stay crisp, and the natural wood furniture keeps its color.

Which gloves go with the AK-47 | Cartel?

Its dark metal with red accents and natural wood suits a moody, high-contrast loadout, so black or red gloves work best — a red pair picks up the accent tones, while dark brown or black wraps echo the wood and the gothic feel. Warm-toned knife finishes round the set out nicely.
