AK-47 | Green Laminate (Factory New)
The AK-47 | Green Laminate (Factory New) is a Mil-Spec rifle skin that coats the rifle's wooden parts — stock, grip, and handguard — in a matte green laminate with a wood texture and black accents, while the metal is left unpainted. Factory New is the cleanest grade the finish comes in, with the laminate at its smoothest.
Design
Green Laminate is a Valve-made finish that lays a matte green laminate over the rifle's wooden parts only — the stock, grip, and handguard — giving them a wood texture with black accents, while the metal parts stay unpainted. It's a restrained, minimalist take on the AK, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "It's the simple things."
AK-47 | Green Laminate (Factory New) Float and Wear
This finish runs a float range of 0.02–0.40. At Factory New the wood grain reads sharp and the green laminate sits even, with the black accents crisp against it. Because wear on this skin only touches the wooden parts and the metal is unpainted, the finish holds its look well across grades — but Factory New is the pristine top of the ladder, where the laminate shows no thinning at all. The float caps low here, so this is the best the skin comes in.
AK-47 | Green Laminate Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier, the entry rung of the standard colored weapon grades. It's the most common grade you'll pull, which is a big part of why the skin stays so affordable.
AK-47 | Green Laminate Case and Collection
The AK-47 | Green Laminate belongs to The 2021 Vertigo Collection, introduced with Operation Riptide in September 2021. The collection's skins are tied to the Vertigo map and come from Vertigo Souvenir Packages awarded at Majors rather than from a standard weapon case. As the Mil-Spec tier, Green Laminate is by far the most common pull within that pool, which keeps supply healthy and prices down.
AK-47 | Green Laminate Patterns
The AK-47 | Green Laminate has no random pattern variation — the laminate sits the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to chase. Float is the only thing that separates one Green Laminate from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Green Laminate — StatTrak skins are seeded into weapon cases, and this finish was never part of a case, so no StatTrak counter exists for it. A Souvenir version does exist, though: it drops from Vertigo Souvenir Packages awarded during Major tournaments, first appearing in the Stockholm 2021 Vertigo Souvenir Package.
AK-47 | Green Laminate Price
Factory New sits at the top of the Green Laminate price ladder as the highest grade, a step above Minimal Wear. Even so, it's a budget-friendly AK finish that won't break the bank — a genuinely affordable way to own a Factory New rifle. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear?
Only a little. Because wear on this skin lands on the wooden parts and the metal is unpainted, Factory New and Minimal Wear look very close, so the premium buys you the cleanest grade rather than a dramatic visual jump. If the price gap is small, Factory New is nice to own; if you want to save, Minimal Wear is nearly identical.
Why is Factory New so cheap for an AK?
It's a Mil-Spec Grade skin, the most common tier, and it comes from Vertigo Souvenir Packages tied to several Majors, so supply is plentiful. That combination keeps even the Factory New grade at a budget price compared with the AK's higher-tier finishes.
Which gloves go with the AK-47 | Green Laminate?
Its green-and-wood palette suits an earthy, understated loadout, so olive, green, or tan gloves work best — a green pair echoes the laminate, while brown or khaki wraps play off the wood texture and black accents. It slots neatly into a natural, minimalist kit rather than a flashy one.
