AK-47 | Safety Net (Field-Tested)
The AK-47 | Safety Net (Field-Tested) is a Restricted rifle skin with a high-visibility orange-and-silver mesh over a white base, like a safety net across the rifle. Field-Tested is the most common and affordable way to own it, with honest wear that the light base doesn't fully hide.
Design
The finish drapes a high-visibility net of orange and silver over a white base, and the effect is exactly what the name promises — a safety net pulled across the rifle. It's Valve's own design, paired with the tongue-in-cheek in-game line: "Your loadout; now with high visibility."
AK-47 | Safety Net (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the finish shows clear scratching along the edges and on the magazine, and because the base is white that wear is more visible than it would be on a dark skin. The orange-and-silver mesh still stands out as the main event, keeping the safety-net look intact. This is the grade most players land on when they want the design without spending on the cleaner exteriors.
AK-47 | Safety Net Rarity
Safety Net is a Restricted-tier finish, marked by the purple grade that falls between Mil-Spec below it and Classified above it. It's more sought-after than the everyday blue skins, though it stops short of the rarest categories.
AK-47 | Safety Net Case and Collection
Safety Net comes from The 2018 Inferno Collection, where its Restricted grade means roughly a 15.98% chance of appearing when the collection's Souvenir packages yield a skin. The first of those was the London 2018 Inferno Souvenir Package. Trading, not unboxing, is how most owners get theirs.
AK-47 | Safety Net Patterns
Every Safety Net wears the same mesh layout; the finish has no random pattern variation, meaning no paint seed or "blue gem" to search for. The single difference between copies comes down to wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You won't find a StatTrak version of this finish — StatTrak is produced through weapon cases, whereas Safety Net drops from Major-tournament Souvenir packages rather than any StatTrak-enabled case. There is a Souvenir edition, though. Souvenir weapons come strictly from Major-tournament packages, and Safety Net has turned up in the Inferno Souvenir packages from London 2018 onward, so a real Souvenir copy can be tracked down and tends to sell at a premium.
AK-47 | Safety Net Price
Field-Tested is the value pick of the range — cheaper than the cleaner grades while keeping the full high-vis design. It's the most common exterior on the market, and with the finish sitting at an affordable mid-tier within the AK-47 lineup, it's one of the easiest ways into this look. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested grade look worn?
A little. The white base means scratches and edge wear show up more clearly than on a dark skin, so a Field-Tested copy reads as used on close inspection. That said, the bold orange-and-silver mesh dominates the look, so the safety-net design still comes across strongly in-game despite the wear.
Is Field-Tested the cheapest good-looking Safety Net?
Close to it. Field-Tested is the most common grade and costs less than Minimal Wear while keeping the full design. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper again, but the white base shows heavy wear plainly, so Field-Tested is usually the lowest grade that still looks tidy.
Which gloves go with the AK-47 | Safety Net?
Its orange-and-white, high-visibility palette suits a bright, tactical loadout, so orange, white, or hazard-style gloves work best — an orange pair picks up the mesh, while white or light wraps keep the high-vis look. Pair it with other orange or safety-themed pieces to lean into the theme.
