AWP | Asiimov (Field-Tested)

AWP | Asiimov (Field-Tested)

The AWP | Asiimov (Field-Tested) is a Covert sniper rifle skin wrapped in a white, orange, and black sci-fi finish. Because the paint never rolls below a Field-Tested float, this is the cleanest grade the design comes in.

Design

Asiimov is a bold, futuristic finish — a white shell broken up by orange accents and black paneling, styled like a piece of sci-fi hardware rather than a real-world rifle. It's a community design by the artist Coridium, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Anyone can predict the future... a visionary shapes it."

AWP | Asiimov (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Asiimov is float-floored at 0.18, which means Factory New and Minimal Wear copies can't exist — the paint never rolls below the Field-Tested band, so this is the top grade available. On the bright white shell you'll spot light scuffing along the edges and rails, but the design reads sharp and the orange accents stay vivid. For anyone who wants the finish as pristine as it gets, this is the grade to reach for.

AWP | Asiimov Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red tier, the top grade of standard weapon skins, above Classified. Covert finishes are among the rarest pulls from a case, which is a big part of why Asiimov carries the status it does.

AWP | Asiimov Case and Collection

The AWP | Asiimov is part of The Phoenix Collection and drops from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, released with the Operation Phoenix update in February 2014. Covert is the rarest tier in the case, so the odds of pulling this skin specifically are low — well under one percent per opening — and with the Operation Phoenix Case long out of the active drop pool, supply is fixed. Most copies change hands on the market rather than getting unboxed.

AWP | Asiimov Patterns

The Asiimov has no random pattern variation — the white, orange, and black graphic sits the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue gem to chase. Wear and float are the only things that separate one Asiimov from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ AWP | Asiimov exists and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a rarer, pricier drop than the standard skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over when the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case was never a Major souvenir drop.

AWP | Asiimov Price

Field-Tested sits at the top of the Asiimov price ladder as the highest grade available, a clear step above Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. It's a premium AWP finish — one of the most sought-after in the game — though it stops short of true grail money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Why is there no Factory New or Minimal Wear Asiimov?

The finish is float-floored at 0.18, and the game never rolls a copy below that. Factory New needs a float under 0.07 and Minimal Wear under 0.15, so both fall beneath the floor and simply can't exist. Field-Tested is the highest grade the AWP | Asiimov ever reaches.

Does the Field-Tested Asiimov look worn?

A little. The bright white shell shows scuffing more readily than a dark skin would, so you'll notice light edge wear on close inspection. Even so, Field-Tested is the least worn grade on offer, the orange accents stay vivid, and at arm's length the design still looks sharp in-game.

Which gloves go with the Asiimov?

Its white, orange, and black palette pairs well with warm or high-contrast loadouts. Orange or tan gloves pick up the accent color, while black or white wraps keep the sci-fi feel intact. It also slots naturally alongside the other Asiimov pieces — the AK-47 and M4A1-S versions — for a matching set.
