AWP | Atheris (Field-Tested)
The AWP | Atheris (Field-Tested) is a Restricted sniper skin with a green-and-blue bush viper over a black body. Field-Tested is the most common, most affordable way to own it — a touch of honest wear on a dark base that shrugs most of it off.
Design
Atheris wraps a green-and-blue bush viper across a black frame, a reptilian look that trades busy graphics for the contrast between the bright snake and the cold dark base. It began as a community design by the artist Graff, and it comes with a fitting caption: "As deadly as it is beautiful."
AWP | Atheris (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the skin picks up light scratching along the edges and the scope, but the black base masks it so well that most copies still read tidy at a glance, and the viper's colors hold up regardless of float. This is the grade most players picture when they think of the skin — the balance point between looks and price.
AWP | Atheris Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, positioned above Mil-Spec and beneath Classified. It's a middle grade on the standard weapon-skin scale: rarer than the common blue skins that share the case, but not as scarce as the pink and red tiers above it.
AWP | Atheris Case and Collection
The Prisma Collection is home to Atheris, which drops from the Prisma Case released on March 13, 2019. As a Restricted it shares the roughly 16% purple-tier drop chance across the case's Restricted skins — that percentage sits with the tier as a whole, not with this one finish — so it's a reasonably common pull, yet most players still pick it up on the market instead of unboxing it.
AWP | Atheris Patterns
Atheris carries no random pattern variation; the bush viper lands identically on every copy, leaving no paint seed or blue gem to hunt. Only wear and float distinguish one unit from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's a StatTrak™ version too, adding a confirmed-kill counter; it's a rarer, pricier pull from the Prisma Case, and the counter records kills permanently as the item is traded or sold. No Souvenir edition was ever made, since Souvenir weapons come only through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Prisma Case was never part of a Major drop.
AWP | Atheris Price
Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than the two higher grades while keeping the whole point of the skin, the bright viper, fully intact against the dark body. It's a big part of why Atheris reads as an approachable budget-to-mid AWP rather than a wallet-buster. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Field-Tested version look?
Not very. The black base hides scratches unusually well, so a Field-Tested copy reads as tidy to most eyes, with only light edge wear on close inspection. The viper's greens and blues aren't affected by float at all, so the snake — the skin's whole draw — always stands out.
Is Field-Tested the best value pick?
For most buyers, yes. It's the most common grade and the cheapest that still keeps the snake looking full, so you're paying for the design rather than for a mint surface, which the dark base makes hard to appreciate anyway. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go lower if you want the smallest possible outlay.
Which gloves go with Atheris?
Its green-and-blue snake on black suits a cool, natural loadout, so green or teal gloves land best — a green pair picks up the viper's scales, while blue wraps echo the cooler highlights. Black or dark gloves also work if you'd rather the skin's bright coil stay the loudest piece.
