AWP | Black Box (Well-Worn)

AWP | Black Box (Well-Worn)

The AWP | Black Box (Well-Worn) is a Restricted sniper skin in matte black with a single orange stripe, shown here in a more weathered state. Well-Worn trades surface polish for a lower entry price while keeping the minimal design identifiable.

Design

Black Box is a study in restraint: a matte black body marked only by one orange stripe, with no illustrations or busy graphics. It began as a community submission from NOLFUT, tuned to a dark, controlled appearance, and it carries the line "Nothing fancy, you hear me?"

AWP | Black Box (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

Along the full 0.00–1.00 float range, Well-Worn occupies the 0.38–0.45 band. At this stage the matte surface has taken clear damage — scuffing and paint thinning spread across the body, scope area, and edges — though the orange stripe still holds its color enough to stay recognizable. It's aimed at players who care more about a low price than a tidy surface.

AWP | Black Box Rarity

Rarity: Restricted, the purple tier — in the upper-middle of the standard weapon grades, above Mil-Spec and below Classified. Uncommon enough that even a worn Black Box keeps a bit of standing.

AWP | Black Box Case and Collection

Belonging to The Spy Tech Collection, this finish entered the game with the Armory / Season 5 update in July 2026. As a Restricted skin it drops at roughly 15.98% across the purple tier, a moderate rate that keeps copies reasonably available — so the market is an easy way to add one.

AWP | Black Box Patterns

This finish carries no random pattern roll: the matte black and orange stripe are placed identically on every copy, a consequence of its fixed design. That means there's no paint seed to study and no blue-gem tier to chase — copies differ only in how much wear they've picked up.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak version of this skin was never made. Since a StatTrak variant has to be minted with the finish at launch and Black Box released without one, no kill-counter copy exists. The same goes for Souvenir: those weapons come exclusively from Major-tournament packages, and this finish has never appeared in one.

AWP | Black Box Price

Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the finish's price ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a more affordable way onto a Restricted AWP for players who won't pay the mid-grade rate. It's one of the cheaper ways to run the minimal design, and it's on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How rough does the Well-Worn Black Box look?

Fairly rough, but still readable. Expect noticeable scuffing and paint thinning across the body, scope area, and edges — more than Field-Tested, short of Battle-Scarred's heavy battering. The orange stripe keeps enough color to stay recognizable in-game, so the AWP reads clearly as Black Box despite the visible wear on the matte finish.

Is Well-Worn worth it over Field-Tested?

Mostly if price is your main concern. Field-Tested looks a fair bit cleaner for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want this Restricted AWP as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way down to Battle-Scarred's heaviest wear.

Does wear affect the orange stripe on Black Box?

The stripe survives, but the surface around it suffers. At Well-Worn the matte black dulls and paint thins on the edges and raised areas, so the finish loses some of its crispness. The orange stripe stays present and colored, so the minimal design remains identifiable even if the body no longer looks as tidy as at higher grades.
