AWP | Chrome Cannon (Factory New)
The AWP | Chrome Cannon (Factory New) is a Covert sniper skin built on a mirror-coat body with multicolored orange accents and a carbon-fiber scope. Factory New is the top grade, showing the reflective coat at full shine with no scuffing to break the mirror.
Design
Chrome Cannon wraps the rifle in a mirror-coat paint that reflects like polished metal, then layers on multicolored accents leaning orange and a carbon-fiber scope for a fast, racing-inspired look. It's a community design by the artist Strenson, built around heavy-duty mechanical motifs, and it carries a cheeky in-game line: "Where'd this come from? Why do you ask?" - Booth, Arms Dealer.
AWP | Chrome Cannon (Factory New) Float and Wear
This finish runs a float range of 0.00–1.00. A mirror coat is unforgiving — reflective surfaces reveal every scratch far more readily than matte paint does, so condition really shows on this finish. Factory New is where that pays off: the coat stays glossy and mirror-like with no visible abrasion, and the orange accents pop against an unbroken shine. For anyone who wants the chrome effect exactly as intended, this is the grade to reach for.
AWP | Chrome Cannon Rarity
Rarity: Covert — the red tier, the highest grade of standard weapon skins, sitting above Classified and below only knives and gloves. It's one of the rarer grades to pull straight from a case.
AWP | Chrome Cannon Case and Collection
Chrome Cannon belongs to The Kilowatt Collection and drops from the Kilowatt Case, released on February 6, 2024. As a Covert it shares the roughly 0.64% red-tier drop chance across the case's Covert skins (the odds sit with the tier, not this one finish), which makes it a scarce pull — most copies change hands on the market rather than coming straight out of the case.
AWP | Chrome Cannon Patterns
Chrome Cannon has no random pattern variation — the mirror coat and accents land the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue gem to chase. Wear and float are the only things that separate one unit from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version exists — it adds a confirmed-kill counter and comes as a rarer, pricier drop from the Kilowatt Case, with the counter tracking kills permanently as the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir edition: Souvenir weapons are handed out only through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Kilowatt Case was never part of a Major drop.
AWP | Chrome Cannon Price
Factory New sits at the top of the finish's own price ladder as the highest grade available — the most you'll pay here, though as an affordable mid-tier AWP it stays well short of grail money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear?
It depends on how much the surface matters to you. Because the mirror coat shows abrasion so easily, the jump in condition is more visible here than on a dark, matte skin — Factory New keeps the reflection unbroken. If you want the chrome effect flawless it's worth the premium; otherwise Minimal Wear looks close for less.
Why does condition matter more on this skin?
The whole finish is a polished mirror coat, and reflective surfaces put scratches on full display where a camo or carbon base would swallow them. That means wear is easier to spot as you move down the grades, so Factory New carries a clearer visual edge than it would on a darker AWP.
Which gloves go with Chrome Cannon?
Its mirror body and orange accents suit a warm, high-contrast loadout, so orange or tan gloves lock in with the accents, while black or carbon-look wraps echo the scope. A neutral gray pair also works if you'd rather let the reflective coat stay the loudest thing in the loadout.
