AWP | Containment Breach (Field-Tested)
The AWP | Containment Breach (Field-Tested) is a Covert sniper rifle skin with a dark body and glowing radioactive-green splatter on a toxic biohazard theme. Field-Tested is the most common and most affordable mid-grade way to own this Covert AWP, with a touch of honest wear that the dark base largely absorbs.
Design
Designed by the community artist Apel, this finish leans on a biohazard-contamination concept — a dark body swamped in acidic, neon-green splatter that shows mutated rats fleeing a radioactive forest. The luminous green plays off the dark surface for a chemical-spill, hazmat feel, and it comes stamped with the line: "Who knows what radioactive diseases they carry…"
AWP | Containment Breach (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the finish shows light scratching along the edges and high points, but the dark body keeps it from looking rough, and the neon-green splatter holds its brightness regardless of float. This is the grade most buyers land on — the point where the price drops meaningfully while the toxic-green look still comes through strong at a glance.
AWP | Containment Breach Rarity
Rarity: Covert — the red tier, above Classified and the highest of the normal weapon grades. Being the scarcest pull the case offers feeds much of the prestige attached to this AWP.
AWP | Containment Breach Case and Collection
Containment Breach belongs to The Shattered Web Collection, dropping from the Shattered Web Case that arrived with Operation Shattered Web in November 2019. The Covert tier as a whole is pulled only about 0.64% of the time from the case (the odds are shared across every skin in the tier), making fresh unboxes scarce — the market is where most trades happen.
AWP | Containment Breach Patterns
This skin rolls no random pattern — the green splatter and rat artwork are placed the same on each copy, meaning there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to look for. Differences between examples come down purely to float and wear.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There is a StatTrak™ variant that tracks confirmed kills; being a scarcer and costlier drop than the standard finish, it appeals to collectors, and the tally is permanent, following the item whenever it's traded or sold. A Souvenir edition doesn't exist — those are produced solely through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this case never shipped as one.
AWP | Containment Breach Price
Field-Tested lands in the middle of this AWP's price ladder — cheaper than the two high grades while keeping most of the visual impact, which is why it's the most-traded condition of the skin. It remains a premium Covert pick overall, just at the friendlier end of that range. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested version look worn?
Only mildly. There's light scratching on the edges and high points, but the dark base soaks up most of it, so the skin still reads well from normal distance. The neon-green splatter isn't touched by float, so the signature toxic detail stays every bit as bright as it does on the higher grades.
Is Field-Tested the best value Containment Breach?
For a lot of buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than Minimal Wear and Factory New but keeps the look mostly intact thanks to the wear-hiding base, and it's the easiest condition to find on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper still if you'd rather trade appearance for the lowest entry price.
Which gloves go with the Containment Breach?
Its acid-green-on-dark palette suits a toxic, high-contrast loadout, so green or dark gloves are the natural call. A poison-green pair echoes the splatter, while black or gunmetal wraps anchor the hazmat theme without competing with the neon for attention.
