AWP | Containment Breach (Minimal Wear)
The AWP | Containment Breach (Minimal Wear) is a Covert sniper rifle skin with a dark body and glowing radioactive-green splatter on a toxic biohazard theme. Minimal Wear keeps nearly the whole look of the top grade while sitting a notch below it in price.
Design
The work of community artist Apel, Containment Breach runs a sci-fi contamination theme across the rifle: acidic neon-green splatter erupts over a dark base, picturing mutated rats bolting out of a radioactive forest. That glow of green against the shadowed body sells the toxic, hazmat-lab mood, and the in-game line fits it perfectly: "Who knows what radioactive diseases they carry…"
AWP | Containment Breach (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
At Minimal Wear the finish picks up only the faintest edge wear, and because the base is dark to begin with, that light scuffing is easy to miss. The neon-green splatter stays bright and the rat artwork remains sharp, so this grade reads almost identical to Factory New at normal viewing distance — a smart way to get the look for a little less.
AWP | Containment Breach Rarity
Rarity: Covert — the red tier that sits at the top of the standard weapon grades, one step above Classified. As the rarest grade you can unbox, it's a major reason this AWP holds the standing it does.
AWP | Containment Breach Case and Collection
This finish sits in The Shattered Web Collection and comes out of the Shattered Web Case, which launched alongside Operation Shattered Web in November 2019. Across the case the Covert tier as a whole lands only around 0.64% of the time (that odds figure is shared among the tier's skins), so unboxes are uncommon and most copies are bought on the market instead.
AWP | Containment Breach Patterns
There's no random pattern variation on this finish — the neon splatter and mutated-rat artwork land identically on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth chasing. The only things that tell one example from the next are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version of this AWP does exist, fitting a confirmed-kill counter; it drops less often and costs more than the plain skin, and that counter is permanent — it stays with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir edition was ever made, since Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament souvenir packages and the Shattered Web Case was never distributed that way.
AWP | Containment Breach Price
Minimal Wear sits just below Factory New on the price ladder — a premium AWP finish that shaves a bit off the top-grade cost while keeping essentially the same appearance. For buyers who want near-flawless looks without paying for the absolute best float, this is the value-conscious end of the high grades. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How close does Minimal Wear look to Factory New?
Very close. The only wear is faint scuffing on the edges, and the dark base hides even that well, so the toxic-green splatter and rat artwork look just as bright as they do a grade up. Most players won't spot the difference in-game, which makes this grade a popular middle ground on looks and price.
Does the dark base hide wear on this AWP?
It helps a lot. Because the body is already dark, light scratches don't stand out the way they would on a pale skin. The neon-green splatter is the eye-catching element, and it isn't affected by float, so the signature detail stays vivid even as the exterior drops through the grades.
Is Minimal Wear the best value grade?
For looks-per-dollar, it's a strong pick. You get an appearance nearly identical to Factory New for less, while Field-Tested and lower save more but start showing honest wear. If you want high-grade presentation without the top-grade premium, Minimal Wear is usually the sweet spot on this finish.
