AWP | Corticera (Field-Tested)

AWP | Corticera (Field-Tested)

The AWP | Corticera (Field-Tested) is a Classified sniper skin decorated with an ornate teal-and-turquoise floral filigree. Field-Tested is the most affordable and most common way to own the finish, with a touch of honest wear on a pattern busy enough to shrug it off.

Design

At its core the finish is a decorative filigree of curling teal and turquoise vines spread symmetrically across the AWP's body, closer to carved ironwork than to a typical camo or graphic. Valve built the design in-house, and its ornamental, almost heraldic styling sets it apart from the harder-edged looks the sniper usually wears.

AWP | Corticera (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

At Field-Tested the finish shows light scratching along the edges, the scope housing, and the high points of the body, but the dense vine pattern absorbs it well and keeps the design readable. This is the grade most players land on for the money, and it's the lowest condition the finish reaches — Corticera never drops below it.

AWP | Corticera Rarity

Rarity: Classified — the pink grade, one step under Covert and second from the top of the standard weapon tiers. Pulling one straight from a case is genuinely uncommon.

AWP | Corticera Case and Collection

Corticera sits in The eSports 2014 Summer Collection and is unboxed from the eSports 2014 Summer Case, released back on July 10, 2014. As a group the Classified tier drops around 3.2% of the time (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and with this early case out of the active drop pool, supply stays fixed — the market, rather than unboxing, is where most copies come from now.

AWP | Corticera Patterns

Because the filigree is placed the same way on every Corticera, the finish carries no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or blue gem to track down. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You can also find a StatTrak™ Corticera, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, more expensive drop than the plain skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over whenever the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir variant — Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the eSports 2014 Summer Case has never featured as a Major drop.

AWP | Corticera Price

Field-Tested is the most accessible grade of this skin, sitting at the bottom of its ladder below Minimal Wear and Factory New — the cheapest route into the ornate design for players who care more about the look than a spotless surface. Even so, it's a premium finish in the AWP lineup rather than a bargain pick. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Field-Tested Corticera look?

Moderately, but it hides it well. Expect visible scratching on the edges, scope, and raised surfaces, yet the dense floral pattern breaks up the abrasion so the skin still reads clearly as Corticera in-game. It's the most worn grade the finish offers, since the float caps out before Well-Worn ever comes into play.

Is Field-Tested worth buying over Minimal Wear?

If price is your main concern, yes. Field-Tested is the cheapest way into the finish and its busy pattern disguises the extra wear well, so it still looks the part. Minimal Wear is the pick if you want a cleaner surface and don't mind paying a bit more for it — both share the same design.

Is Corticera a good AWP skin for the price?

It's a solid choice if you want something ornate rather than aggressive. Corticera stands out from the sci-fi and camo finishes most AWPs wear, its blue-green palette slots into cool loadouts easily, and Field-Tested keeps the entry cost at its lowest while holding onto the full decorative look.
