AWP | Electric Hive (Field-Tested)

AWP | Electric Hive (Field-Tested)

The AWP | Electric Hive (Field-Tested) is a Classified sniper skin with a blue hexagonal hive pattern and an electric, energetic look, here with a touch of honest wear. Field-Tested is the most common and affordable way to own the finish while keeping the honeycomb clearly readable.

Design

At its core the finish is a hexagonal honeycomb hydrographic wrapped across the AWP, its blue tones giving off an electric, tech-flavored vibe. The hive lattice covers the body evenly, and the whole thing is a Valve in-house design dating back to the game's earlier years rather than a Workshop submission.

AWP | Electric Hive (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

At Field-Tested the finish picks up light scratching along the edges and high points, but the busy honeycomb lattice hides scuffing fairly well, so most copies still read cleanly at a glance. The blue pattern holds regardless of float, making this the grade most buyers settle on — the balance point between looks and price.

AWP | Electric Hive Rarity

Rarity: Classified — the pink grade, ranked just beneath Covert and second from the top of the standard weapon tiers. Pulling one straight from a case is genuinely uncommon.

AWP | Electric Hive Case and Collection

Part of The eSports 2013 Winter Collection, Electric Hive drops from the eSports 2013 Winter Case that arrived with the Winter Offensive update back on December 18, 2013. The Classified tier as a group unboxes about 3.2% of the time (that odds figure is shared across the tier), and because this older case is no longer in the active drop pool, supply stays fixed — the market, not unboxing, is where most copies come from.

AWP | Electric Hive Patterns

Electric Hive carries no random pattern variation: the honeycomb is a printed hydrographic, so the hexagon lattice is placed the same on each copy, and there's no paint seed or blue gem to track down. Copies differ only by wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ AWP | Electric Hive does exist and brings a confirmed-kill counter along; it's a rarer, costlier drop from the same eSports 2013 Winter Case, and that counter is permanent — it carries over whenever the item is traded or sold. A Souvenir version was never made, since Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages and this finish has never appeared in one.

AWP | Electric Hive Price

Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than the higher grades while keeping nearly the same honeycomb look, which is a big part of why the finish stays a popular budget-friendly AWP. It's an affordable mid-tier pick that won't stretch a loadout budget. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested Electric Hive look worn?

Not much. The busy hexagon honeycomb does a good job masking scratches, so a Field-Tested copy reads as tidy to most eyes, with only light edge wear visible on close inspection. The blue lattice pattern isn't affected by float at all, so the skin's signature look always comes through in-game.

Is Field-Tested the best value Electric Hive?

For most buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than the Minimal Wear and Factory New grades but looks almost identical from a normal viewing distance, and it's the most common condition on the market. Well-Worn is cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and accept heavier scuffing.

Which gloves pair with the Electric Hive?

The cool blue honeycomb suits a blue-toned loadout, so blue or dark gloves are the natural match — a blue pair picks up the hive tone, while black or gunmetal wraps keep the tech feel without clashing. It also slots neatly into a setup built around other blue-leaning skins.
