AWP | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested)
The AWP | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested) is a Covert sniper skin splashed with a psychedelic, many-colored beast. Field-Tested is the most common and recognizable way to own it, with light honest wear that the loud artwork mostly swallows.
Design
The Hyper Beast finish wraps the entire AWP in a psychedelic creature — teeth bared, tongue out — splashed on in bright neon color across every surface. It's a Workshop design from community artist Brock Hofer, paired with a tongue-in-cheek in-game note — "You really want to impress me Booth? Make this black light sensitive" (Rona Sabri, Rising Star).
AWP | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the finish picks up visible scratching along the edges and the scope rail, but the dense, high-contrast artwork disguises a lot of it, so most copies still look striking from a normal viewing distance. The neon colors are unaffected by float, so the beast's presence never dims. This is the grade most players picture when they think of Hyper Beast — the balance point between looks and price.
AWP | Hyper Beast Rarity
Rarity: Covert. That's the red tier, the highest grade of standard weapon skins and a rung above Classified. Covert items are the rarest thing a case can give up, which does a lot to explain their pricing.
AWP | Hyper Beast Case and Collection
Hyper Beast sits in The Falchion Collection and is unboxed from the Falchion Case, introduced with Operation Bloodhound back in May 2015. Covert is the scarcest tier in that case at roughly 0.64% per open (shared among its Covert entries), and with the case retired from the active drop pool, the pool of copies is finite — nearly all trading now happens on the market rather than through fresh unboxings.
AWP | Hyper Beast Patterns
Hyper Beast carries a fixed pattern: the beast artwork lands the same way on every copy, which means no paint seed, no blue gem, and no phase to track down. What tells one copy from the next is simply its wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There is a StatTrak™ Hyper Beast, which tracks confirmed kills; it drops from the same Falchion Case but far less often and for more money, and its count is permanent, following the item whenever it's traded or sold. A Souvenir edition, though, doesn't exist — those are issued only through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish has never appeared in one.
AWP | Hyper Beast Price
Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than the higher grades while keeping the artwork looking bold, which is a big part of why it's the most traded Hyper Beast. It's a premium AWP finish that lands at its most accessible here without dropping into heavy wear. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Hyper Beast look worn?
Only on close inspection. There's real edge scratching at this grade, but the crowded neon artwork hides most of it, so from a normal distance the skin still reads bold and colorful. It's the reason Field-Tested is the go-to grade — you get the full look for a fraction of the top-grade cost.
Is Field-Tested the best value Hyper Beast?
For most buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than Minimal Wear and Factory New while the busy artwork keeps it looking striking, and it's the most common grade on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind heavier scuffing.
Which gloves go with Hyper Beast?
Its multi-color neon palette loves an equally loud pairing, so vibrant gloves work best — a colorful set in a pink-and-teal colorway echoes the beast's tones, while pink or purple wraps lock onto its brightest accents. If you'd rather let the artwork lead, plain black or dark gloves keep the focus on the rifle.
