AWP | LongDog (Battle-Scarred)

AWP | LongDog (Battle-Scarred)

The AWP | LongDog (Battle-Scarred) is a Covert sniper skin carrying the Train map's stretched dachshund graffiti over a tan and brown frame, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into a Covert AWP finish, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price on the long dog.

Design

Underneath the wear it's the LongDog graffiti from the Train map — a cartoon dachshund drawn impossibly long — which Valve custom painted across the rifle in warm tan and brown tones. It's the studio's own spin on a map-born gag rather than a Workshop entry, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "The greatest dog to have ever lived is the one waiting for you at home."

AWP | LongDog (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly — heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body, with the tan surface thinned in places. Since the float scale runs all the way to the top here, copies can reach the roughest end of the range. The long dog cartoon survives as the anchor that keeps the skin readable even at its most beaten-up.

AWP | LongDog Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red grade, the top of the standard weapon rarity tiers. On an AWP that marks it as one of the most coveted classifications in the game, sitting in the single most exclusive slot a weapon can occupy.

AWP | LongDog Case and Collection

This finish comes from The Train 2025 Collection and isn't found in any buyable weapon case. Its Covert status makes it the rarest grade in the group — the Covert tier drops at roughly 0.64%, an odds figure shared across the tier — and because the only sources are Major Train souvenir packages and trade-ups, the number of copies is fixed rather than freely unboxable.

AWP | LongDog Patterns

There's nothing random about how this finish is laid out — the long dog graffiti occupies the same spot on every copy, meaning no paint seed or blue-gem is worth chasing. Wear and float are all that set copies apart, with Souvenir versions the one twist, since their tournament stickers can lift value beyond the standard skin.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak variant simply isn't available — StatTrak weapons are born from cases that ship a StatTrak version, and this finish never appeared in a case. The Souvenir version, on the other hand, does exist: Souvenir weapons are dealt only through Major-tournament souvenir packages, so with Train as a Major map, drops like the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package can turn up a copy.

AWP | LongDog Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of this finish — the entry-level way to run a Covert AWP for players who care more about the design than a flawless frame. If you want the long dog for as little as possible, this is the door in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred LongDog still recognizable?

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing, the tan base and the unmistakable stretched dachshund keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price on a Covert AWP, not losing the long dog cartoon that gives the skin its whole personality.

Why buy the Battle-Scarred grade?

It's the most affordable path to a Covert AWP finish. If your goal is to own the long dog without paying the premium the higher grades command, Battle-Scarred gets you there — the artwork still reads clearly, and you're simply trading a beaten-up frame for the cheapest entry into the skin.

Which gloves go with the LongDog?

Its warm tan-and-brown palette suits earthy, rugged loadouts, so desert, leather, or brown-toned gloves fit naturally — and a worn grade pairs especially well with battle-worn wraps. Sandy Hand Wraps echo the frame, while a subtle warm accent plays up the cartoon without clashing with the muted base.
