AWP | LongDog (Field-Tested)

The AWP | LongDog (Field-Tested) is a Covert sniper skin wearing the Train map's stretched dachshund graffiti across a tan and brown frame, here with a touch of honest wear. Field-Tested is the most common and recognizable way to own the long dog, offering the Covert artwork for well under the top grades.

Design

At its heart the finish is the LongDog graffiti from Train — an absurdly long dachshund cartoon — painted by Valve across the rifle in warm tan and brown tones. Rather than a community submission, it's the studio turning a beloved map gag into a weapon finish, and it comes with a fitting in-game line: "The greatest dog to have ever lived is the one waiting for you at home."

AWP | LongDog (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

At Field-Tested the finish picks up light scratching along the edges and high-contact areas, but the tan and brown base absorbs it well and the long dog cartoon stays fully legible at a glance. This is the grade most people picture when they think of the skin — the sweet spot between a presentable look and a much friendlier price than the higher exteriors.

AWP | LongDog Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red grade, sitting at the top of the standard weapon rarity tiers. For an AWP finish that means one of the most coveted classifications in the game, and a rare thing to pull.

AWP | LongDog Case and Collection

Belonging to The Train 2025 Collection, this finish isn't unboxed from any buyable weapon case. Its Covert grade is the rarest in the collection — the Covert tier pulls at about 0.64%, a figure shared across the tier's skins — and because copies appear only through Major Train souvenir packages or trade-ups, the pool of them is fixed rather than endlessly unboxable.

AWP | LongDog Patterns

Because the long dog graffiti is placed the same on each copy, the finish carries no random pattern roll — there's no seed or blue-gem to track down. Copies differ only by their wear and float, with the exception of Souvenir versions, whose tournament stickers can push their value well beyond the base skin.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You won't find a StatTrak edition of this one: StatTrak weapons originate from cases that carry a StatTrak variant, and this finish was never sold in a case. A Souvenir version is out there, however — Souvenir weapons are produced solely by Major-tournament souvenir packages, so with Train featured as a Major map, drops like the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package can deliver a Souvenir copy.

AWP | LongDog Price

Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than the two top grades while keeping the long dog artwork clearly readable, which is a big reason it's the most traded exterior of this finish. It's a premium AWP that stops short of grail money here. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested LongDog look worn?

Only mildly. Expect light scratching around the edges and grip, but the warm tan-and-brown base hides it well and the stretched dachshund reads perfectly clearly in-game. For most players the wear is easy to overlook, which is why this grade is the go-to balance of looks and affordability for the finish.

Is Field-Tested the best value LongDog?

For a lot of buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than Factory New and Minimal Wear while keeping the cartoon fully legible, and it's the most common exterior on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind heavier wear across the frame.

Which gloves go with the LongDog?

Its warm tan-and-brown palette suits earthy, casual loadouts, so desert, leather, or brown-toned gloves pair naturally. Sandy Hand Wraps echo the frame, while gloves with a lighter accent can lean into the cartoon's playful mood — just avoid cold blues that fight the skin's warm tones.
