AWP | Man-o'-war (Minimal Wear)

The AWP | Man-o'-war (Minimal Wear) is a Covert sniper skin — a blue metallic body hand-painted with swirling gold accents in a warship-inspired style. Since the finish never rolls below a 0.10 float, Minimal Wear is the cleanest grade it comes in, showing the gold filigree at its most legible.

Design

Man-o'-war takes its name from the old sailing warships, and it looks the part: a blue metallic base coat layered with hand-painted gold swirls and nautical accents that curl across the body. It's a community design by the artist Arbitron, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Turn some heads before you take them off."

AWP | Man-o'-war (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

This grade sits at the top of the skin's condition ladder — the float floor of 0.10 rules out any Factory New, so Minimal Wear is the highest exterior available. At this level the blue base stays rich and the gold swirls read crisply, with only the faintest edge wear if any. For players who want the ornament as sharp as the finish allows, this is the grade to reach for.

AWP | Man-o'-war Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red tier, the top grade among standard weapon skins, ranked above Classified. Covert finishes are the rarest pulls a case has to offer and sit among the most prized items on the market.

AWP | Man-o'-war Case and Collection

Man-o'-war is part of The Chroma Collection and drops from the Chroma Case, which launched on January 8, 2015. Its Covert grade carries roughly 0.64% drop odds from the case (the rarest tier there, a rate shared across the tier's skins), and with the Chroma Case old enough to be well past its heavy circulation, most copies now change hands on the market rather than coming fresh from an opening.

AWP | Man-o'-war Patterns

This skin has no random pattern variation — the gold swirls sit the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue gem to chase. Wear and float are the only things that separate one example from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ AWP | Man-o'-war exists — it comes from the Chroma Case and adds a confirmed-kill counter that logs permanently, carrying over when the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir version: Souvenir weapons are produced only through Major-tournament souvenir packages, and The Chroma Collection has never been part of a Major drop.

AWP | Man-o'-war Price

Minimal Wear sits at the top of the finish's short price ladder as the highest grade available, a step above Field-Tested. Even so, this skin lands as an affordable mid-tier AWP — a Covert look without Covert-grail money — which makes it an easy pickup to grab securely on Skin.Land whenever you want it in your loadout.

FAQ

Is Minimal Wear worth it over Field-Tested?

It comes down to how much the top condition matters to you. Minimal Wear is the highest grade, with the deepest blue base and the gold swirls at their most legible. That said, the low 0.20 float cap keeps even Field-Tested looking tidy, so pay up mainly if you want the best exterior the skin offers; otherwise the cheaper grade is close.

Why is there no Factory New AWP Man-o'-war?

The finish is float-floored at 0.10, and the game never rolls a copy below that value. Factory New needs a float under 0.07, so it simply can't exist for this skin — Minimal Wear is the highest grade it ever reaches, and the cleanest way to own the design.

Which gloves go with Man-o'-war?

Its blue-and-gold palette calls for a rich, nautical loadout, so blue or navy gloves land best, with tan or gold-accented wraps picking up the metallic swirls. Something like a deep-blue or ornate pair ties the whole look together, keeping the warship theme consistent from weapon to hands.
