AWP | PAW (Minimal Wear)
The AWP | PAW (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted AWP skin covered in a cheerful cartoon collage of cats, dogs, bears and other animals. Minimal Wear keeps the pastel artwork looking almost untouched while costing less than the top grade.
Design
The look here is pure cartoon: a storybook spread of dogs, cats, bears and assorted animals in a bold, flat comic-book style, all set against a soft palette of blue, yellow and pink. TheDanidem built this one in the community Workshop as an unapologetically playful design, and its in-game line plays along: "Kill rewards paid in scratching posts and tennis balls."
AWP | PAW (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
At Minimal Wear the finish carries only the faintest wear, generally along the exposed edges, while the animal panels across the body stay bright and readable. On a busy pastel design like this, that difference matters — light scuffing barely registers here, so most copies look near-mint at a glance. It's the grade to grab when you want the design close to its best without paying the Factory New premium.
AWP | PAW Rarity
Rarity: Restricted, the purple grade. It ranks under the pink Classified tier and above the blue Mil-Spec skins, placing it in the middle of the standard weapon ladder — an uncommon but not rare pull from a case.
AWP | PAW Case and Collection
This finish is part of The Horizon Collection and comes out of the Horizon Case, released alongside the "A New Horizon" update in August 2018. Across that case the Restricted tier pulls at about 15.98% (a figure shared among the tier's skins), so the majority of copies in circulation are traded on the market rather than opened fresh.
AWP | PAW Patterns
There's no random roll to chase on PAW — the collage of animals lands the same way on every single copy, meaning no paint seed or "blue gem" hunt applies. The only real variables between copies are their wear level and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There is a StatTrak™ PAW, sourced from the Horizon Case, that tracks confirmed kills on a built-in counter; it drops more rarely and sells for more than the plain version, and the counter stays with the skin permanently through trades and sales. No Souvenir variant was ever made, because Souvenir weapons are produced solely from Major-tournament packages, and the Horizon Case never featured at a Major.
AWP | PAW Price
Minimal Wear slots just under Factory New on PAW's price ladder while looking nearly identical, which makes it a smart-value pick. And since PAW ranks as a budget option among AWP finishes overall, even this near-top grade stays easy on the wallet. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Minimal Wear PAW look worn?
Hardly at all. Any wear is limited to the edges, and the bright cartoon panels across the main body stay vivid and detailed. To most eyes a Minimal Wear copy passes for near-mint, which is exactly why it's popular — you keep almost the full Factory New look for a lower price.
Is Minimal Wear better value than Factory New?
For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Factory New but the artwork looks very close, since the light wear barely shows on the busy design. Spend up on Factory New only if you want the finish absolutely flawless; otherwise this grade gives you nearly the same skin for less.
Why is the AWP | PAW so affordable?
It's a Restricted skin from a widely opened case, so supply is high, and its cartoon-animal theme is a niche taste rather than a universal grail look. That combination keeps it among the more budget-friendly AWP finishes — good news if you want a colorful sniper without spending big.
