AWP | Phobos (Minimal Wear)

AWP | Phobos (Minimal Wear)

The AWP | Phobos (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted sniper skin with an industrial, sci-fi look — dark green metal panels, radioactive-yellow accents and black-and-yellow hazard stripes. Minimal Wear keeps nearly all of that detail intact while sitting a notch below the top grade in price.

Design

The look leans on a "Blade Runner"-style industrial aesthetic: metallic gray behind dark green metal panels, lifted by radioactive-yellow accents and black-and-yellow hazard striping. Warning symbols and mechanical detailing complete a laboratory, high-security feel. The artist Apel created it as a community submission, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "Build a better world."

AWP | Phobos (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

At Minimal Wear the finish picks up only faint scuffing along the edges and raised metalwork, while the green panels and hazard stripes stay saturated. The warning symbols and linework remain easy to read, so at a glance this grade looks close to the top one. It's the sweet spot for buyers who want near-mint detail without paying the highest price.

AWP | Phobos Rarity

Rarity: Restricted, the purple tier. That places it one step over Mil-Spec and one under Classified — a mid-ladder grade among the standard weapon tiers, and a reasonably common one to unbox.

AWP | Phobos Case and Collection

Part of The Gamma Collection, Phobos comes out of the Gamma Case that launched alongside the Gamma Exposure update in June 2016. Across the case the Restricted tier pulls at roughly 15.98% (a rate shared among the tier's skins), and with the Gamma Case now out of the active drop pool, its supply is capped — buyers pick up most copies on the market instead of unboxing them.

AWP | Phobos Patterns

This skin has no random pattern roll: the metal panels, hazard stripes and warning symbols are placed identically on each copy, which means there's no paint seed or "blue gem" worth tracking down. The only real differences between copies come from wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There is a StatTrak™ Phobos, which tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it drops more rarely and carries a premium over the plain skin, and its counter is permanent, staying with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir version was ever made, since Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament packages and the Gamma Case was a store release, not a Major drop.

AWP | Phobos Price

Minimal Wear lands just below Factory New on the price ladder while keeping almost the same look, which makes it a smart pick for value hunters. Either way, Phobos stays firmly in budget AWP territory rather than the pricier tiers. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Minimal Wear Phobos look worn?

Barely. The busy panels and hazard striping hide the light edge scuffing this grade carries, so most copies read as near-mint at normal viewing distance. You'd need to zoom in on the raised metalwork to spot the difference from Factory New, which is why many buyers treat this grade as the value pick.

Is Minimal Wear the best-value Phobos?

For a lot of buyers, yes. It sits a step under Factory New in price but keeps the warning symbols and mechanical detail almost as sharp, so you lose very little visually. Field-Tested and Well-Worn cost less again if you'd rather trade some crispness for the lowest entry price.

Can I get Phobos from a trade-up?

Potentially. As a Restricted skin it can be produced by a trade-up contract using ten Mil-Spec skins from The Gamma Collection, which is one route around the closed Gamma Case. In practice, though, buying the exact wear you want on the market is usually simpler and cheaper than gambling on a contract.
