AWP | Queen's Gambit (Factory New)

AWP | Queen's Gambit (Factory New)

The AWP | Queen's Gambit (Factory New) is a Covert sniper skin — an ornate, regal finish in royal blue and gold with a chess queen hand-painted onto the stock, shown here at its most immaculate. Factory New is the top grade, the version collectors chase and the one that commands the highest, high-end prices in the range.

Design

The Queen's Gambit is a community design by the artist Endrit, custom painted in royal blue and gold with a chess queen rendered by hand in front of the butt stock. It's a deliberately regal, detail-driven look that leans on heraldic ornamentation rather than loud graphics, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Every shot is a royal decree of power and precision."

AWP | Queen's Gambit (Factory New) Float and Wear

This finish runs a float range of 0.00–1.00. Factory New sits at the top of the float scale for this finish, showing the royal blue and gold at full saturation with the body free of scuffs. Every line of the hand-painted queen reads crisp and the gold detailing gleams. For a skin whose whole appeal is the ornate artwork, this is the grade that shows it off best — and it is priced accordingly.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red tier, the very top of the standard weapon rarity grades. On the AWP that places the Queen's Gambit among the most coveted skins in the game, in the most exclusive slot a weapon can occupy.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Case and Collection

The Queen's Gambit belongs to The Dead Hand Collection and drops from the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal case. As a Covert it's the rarest grade in the set — the Covert tier lands at roughly 0.64% (shared across the tier's skins) — so it's an uncommon pull, and most buyers pick their copy up on the market rather than unbox one.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Patterns

The Queen's Gambit has no random pattern variation — the queen motif and the blue-and-gold layout sit the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or blue-gem to hunt. Float and wear are the only things that separate one from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's no StatTrak Queen's Gambit — StatTrak weapons come from cases that ship a StatTrak variant, and this finish was never offered as one. There's no Souvenir version either: Souvenir weapons drop only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and neither The Dead Hand Collection nor its case was ever a Major drop, so that variant simply doesn't exist.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Price

Factory New sits at the very top of the Queen's Gambit ladder as the highest grade available — a clear step above the lower exteriors and one of the more prestigious, high-end picks in the AWP market. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Why is Factory New the most expensive Queen's Gambit?

Because it's the highest grade and the one that shows the artwork at its peak. The royal blue and gold reach full saturation and the hand-painted queen stays razor-sharp, with no surface scuffing at all. That top-of-the-ladder condition, paired with the skin's Covert prestige, is what pushes Factory New to the highest price in the range.

Is Factory New worth the premium over Minimal Wear?

Only if you want the absolute best. Factory New shows the queen at peak saturation with a spotless body, but Minimal Wear looks so close that most people can't tell them apart in a match. The premium is really about collector prestige and owning the top grade rather than a difference your eye reliably picks up.

Which gloves go with the Queen's Gambit?

Its royal blue-and-gold palette suits a rich, regal loadout, so blue or gold-accented gloves work best — a blue pair echoes the base while gold detailing ties into the queen artwork. Darker navy wraps also keep the look elegant without fighting the AWP's ornate centerpiece.
