AWP | Queen's Gambit (Well-Worn)

AWP | Queen's Gambit (Well-Worn)

The AWP | Queen's Gambit (Well-Worn) is a Covert sniper skin — the regal royal-blue-and-gold queen finish in a more weathered state. It's a relatively cheaper route into an ornate, high-end AWP, with wear that starts to show plainly across the body.

Design

The Queen's Gambit began as a community design by the artist Endrit, custom painted in royal blue and gold with a chess queen hand-decorated in front of the butt stock. It reaches for a regal, heraldic look built on intricate detail instead of busy graphics, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Every shot is a royal decree of power and precision."

AWP | Queen's Gambit (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

At Well-Worn the wear becomes obvious — scuffing and paint thinning spread across the body, and the gold detailing dulls in the spots where the finish has rubbed down. The queen stays recognizable, but there's no disguising the condition. For collectors chasing the design over the surface, it's a way into the skin below the top grades.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red tier, sitting at the very top of the standard weapon rarity grades. For the AWP that ranks the Queen's Gambit among the game's most coveted skins, holding the most exclusive slot a weapon can occupy.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Case and Collection

The Queen's Gambit comes from The Dead Hand Collection and is unboxed from the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal case. Its Covert grade is the rarest in the set — the Covert tier works out to roughly 0.64% (shared across the tier's skins) — so it's an uncommon pull, and buyers get most copies on the market rather than from the case.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Patterns

The Queen's Gambit rolls no random pattern — the queen and the blue-and-gold layout appear the same on each copy, leaving no paint seed or blue-gem to seek out. What sets copies apart is float and wear alone.

StatTrak & Souvenir

The Queen's Gambit has no StatTrak form — StatTrak weapons stem from cases that ship a StatTrak variant, and this finish was never placed in one. There's likewise no Souvenir version, as Souvenir weapons drop solely from Major-tournament souvenir packages and neither The Dead Hand Collection nor its case was ever a Major drop.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Price

Well-Worn sits near the lower end of the ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — one of the more affordable ways into the skin, though it remains a premium, high-end AWP by any measure. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Well-Worn Queen's Gambit look?

Noticeably. Expect visible scuffing and thinned paint across the body, with the gold tones dulled in spots — more than Field-Tested but short of the heaviest battering of Battle-Scarred. The queen and its blue-and-gold scheme keep it plainly readable as a Queen's Gambit in-game.

Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?

Mainly if you want to spend as little as the skin comfortably allows. Field-Tested looks a good deal fresher for a step up in cost and is far more liquid, so most buyers lean that way. Well-Worn makes sense when you want a genuine copy at the lowest realistic price short of Battle-Scarred.

Does the worn surface ruin the regal look?

Not really. The blue base and the gold queen artwork are strong enough that even with dulled paint and visible scuffing, the ornate, heraldic character still comes through. Well-Worn trades some surface polish for a lower entry price, but the design that defines the skin stays intact.
