Desert Eagle | Golden Koi (Minimal Wear)

Desert Eagle | Golden Koi (Minimal Wear)

The Desert Eagle | Golden Koi (Minimal Wear) is a Covert pistol skin, a golden koi swimming across a dark slide over a gilded frame in a Japanese-inspired look. Because the finish is float-capped, Minimal Wear is as worn as it ever gets — and that's still barely worn at all.

Design

Built on a black-and-gold scheme, this finish sets a warm metallic-gold koi fish against a dark slide, with the frame and barrel gilded in a scale-like sheen. Valve designed it with an unmistakably Japanese flavor, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "A loud gun in every sense of the word."

Desert Eagle | Golden Koi (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

Float on the finish spans 0.00–0.12, and Minimal Wear is the top end of that band — the most worn this skin can be. Because the cap is so low, that "worst" grade still shows only faint edge wear, with the koi and the gold fully intact. There's no Field-Tested or below, so this is the budget-friendlier of the two grades without giving up much surface quality.

Desert Eagle | Golden Koi Rarity

Rarity: Covert, the red grade — the highest tier among standard weapon skins. Sitting at the very top, it's a scarce drop to unbox.

Desert Eagle | Golden Koi Case and Collection

Part of The Bravo Collection, this finish is unboxed from the Operation Bravo Case that arrived with Operation Bravo on September 19, 2013. As a group the Covert tier drops about 0.64% of the time (the figure is shared across the tier's skins), and since the case left the active drop pool years ago, supply is capped — buyers get most copies on the market instead of from a case.

Desert Eagle | Golden Koi Patterns

There's no meaningful pattern roll to hunt on this finish — the koi artwork is placed the same on each copy, with no paint seed or "blue gem" variant to seek out. Wear and float are the only real differences between one and the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There is a StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Golden Koi, which tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it drops from the Operation Bravo Case more rarely and costs more than the standard skin, and that counter is permanent, staying with the item through every trade and sale. No Souvenir variant was ever made — Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish's case never featured as a Major drop.

Desert Eagle | Golden Koi Price

Minimal Wear is the more accessible of the two available grades, sitting just below Factory New on the ladder while keeping nearly the same look thanks to the tight float cap. It's still a premium Desert Eagle pick, but a smarter-value route into the koi design. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Minimal Wear Golden Koi look worn?

Hardly. Minimal Wear is the most worn grade this finish reaches, yet the 0.12 float cap means copies show only light edge wear at most. The gold stays warm and the koi detail stays legible, so it reads almost as fresh as Factory New to the naked eye.

Is Minimal Wear the best value Golden Koi?

For most buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than Factory New but looks nearly identical because the finish can't wear past this grade. Unless you specifically want the highest possible condition on the shelf, Minimal Wear is the sensible pick.

Is the Golden Koi a good Desert Eagle skin to own?

It's one of the classics. A Covert from 2013's Operation Bravo, it carries collector prestige, a striking black-and-gold koi design, and genuine scarcity now that the case is retired. For a premium Deagle with history behind it, few finishes match its pedigree.
