Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Field-Tested)

Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Field-Tested)

The Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Field-Tested) is a Mil-Spec Grade pistol skin with a blue, space-themed body of stars and satellites. Field-Tested is the mid-range condition, showing honest wear while keeping the design fully readable — and it's usually the most available grade.

Design

Sputnik's spray-paint finish covers a blue base with an abstract space layout — stars and satellites drifting across the slide — inspired by the Soviet Sputnik satellite that gives the skin its name. It ships with a themed in-game line: "Send and receive."

Desert Eagle | Sputnik (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

At Field-Tested the finish adds visible scuffing to the abrasions the artwork already includes, and the blue base starts to darken a little as float climbs the 0.00–0.50 range. Even so, the star-and-satellite pattern stays easy to make out, and this grade is the one most players picture — the middle ground between looks and cost, and typically the easiest to find on the market.

Desert Eagle | Sputnik Rarity

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier that forms the entry level of the standard weapon grades. It's the most common class to pull, which helps keep the skin easy on the wallet.

Desert Eagle | Sputnik Case and Collection

This finish comes from The 2021 Train Collection, released alongside Operation Riptide in September 2021. Within the collection, Mil-Spec is the most common grade, so the blue tier appears far more often than the higher grades — and with the operation long finished, most copies now come from the market rather than fresh drops.

Desert Eagle | Sputnik Patterns

Sputnik carries no random pattern variation: the blue field, stars, and satellites sit the same on each copy, so there's nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Copies differ only by wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You won't find a StatTrak Sputnik — the kill-counter version is only ever made for skins issued through a weapon case, and this finish comes from a collection instead, so none was created. There's also no Souvenir edition, as Souvenir weapons are produced exclusively from Major-tournament packages and the 2021 Train Collection has never been distributed that way.

Desert Eagle | Sputnik Price

Field-Tested lands in the middle of the Sputnik ladder — cheaper than the higher grades while keeping the pattern clearly recognizable, which is a big reason it's such a popular pick. As an affordable mid-tier Desert Eagle, it's a low-cost way to run an eye-catching design. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Field-Tested Sputnik look?

Moderately. Expect noticeable scuffing on top of the abrasions built into the artwork, plus a slightly darker blue as the float rises. It's more worn than Minimal Wear but still well short of the heavy battering at the bottom of the scale, and the stars and satellites stay easy to read in-game.

Is Field-Tested the best value Sputnik?

For most buyers, it's the sweet spot. It costs less than the cleaner grades but keeps the design fully legible, and it's typically the most plentiful condition on the market. If you want the lowest possible entry price, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper — at the cost of heavier, darker wear.

Which gloves suit the Sputnik loadout?

The blue, space-flavored palette pairs best with cool tones, so blue or blue-accented gloves tie the look together and echo the base color. If you'd rather keep the pattern as the standout, neutral gray or black wraps sit back and let the stars and satellites do the talking.
