Five-SeveN | Orange Peel (Battle-Scarred)
The Five-SeveN | Orange Peel (Battle-Scarred, BS) is an Industrial Grade pistol skin sprayed vibrant orange through a masking-tape stencil, now in its most worn state. It's the cheapest way to own the finish, trading a clean surface for the lowest price on the ladder.
Design
The blocky stencil pattern comes from masking tape laid over the frame before a coat of vibrant orange, and it's the work of Valve. In-game, it comes paired with the line "True power is demonstrated with subtle application."
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Battle-Scarred sits at the top of the finish's float range, which runs from 0.06 to 0.80. Expect heavy scuffing, faded orange, and paint loss across the frame at this grade. Because the range caps at 0.80 rather than 1.0, though, even this roughest copy stops short of the most extreme wear a full-range skin could show, keeping the stencil shapes at least partly legible.
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel Rarity
Orange Peel is Industrial Grade, one step above the lowest Consumer Grade tier, making it a common find across the drop pool rather than a scarce one.
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel Case and Collection
It belongs to The Dust 2 Collection, which launched in November 2013 alongside the "Out with the old, in with the new" update, and there's no case tied to it — the regular finish is obtained through the collection itself, via map drops or trade-ups.
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel Patterns
Every copy of the finish shares the same fixed stencil pattern, so there's no paint seed or blue-gem chase involved with Orange Peel — wear and float are the only variables.
StatTrak & Souvenir
The finish exists in both a regular and a Souvenir version, but no StatTrak variant was ever made. Souvenir supply began with the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package, with more Dust II souvenir packages issued at other Majors in the years that followed.
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel Price
Battle-Scarred is the entry point into Orange Peel, priced below every other grade on the ladder. It's the way to go if getting the design cheaply matters more than surface condition. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Battle-Scarred Orange Peel worth buying?
If budget is the priority, yes. It's the cheapest way to own the finish, and the stenciled orange pattern still reads clearly despite the heavy wear. Buyers who want a cleaner surface should look at Field-Tested (FT) or Minimal Wear (MW) instead.
Does Battle-Scarred Orange Peel look completely destroyed?
Not quite. Since the finish's float tops out at 0.80 instead of the full 1.0, this grade never reaches the harshest wear other skins can show. It looks heavily used, but the stencil pattern still holds up better than a full-range Battle-Scarred skin might.
What's the cheapest way to own the Orange Peel design?
Battle-Scarred is it — it sits at the bottom of the finish's price ladder while still showing the same taped-off orange pattern as every other grade, just with heavier scuffing across the frame.
