Five-SeveN | Orange Peel (Factory New)
The Five-SeveN | Orange Peel (Factory New) is an Industrial Grade pistol skin sprayed through a tangle of masking tape used as a stencil, leaving a bold, blocky pattern across the frame. Factory New is the top grade for this finish, showing the orange paint job at its most saturated.
Design
Orange Peel gets its look from masking tape laid over the frame before a coat of vibrant orange paint, leaving crisp blocky shapes where the tape blocked the spray. It's a Valve-made finish, and it carries the in-game line "True power is demonstrated with subtle application."
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel (Factory New) Float and Wear
The finish runs a float range of 0.06 to 0.80, and Factory New sits right at the bottom of that scale. The orange stays bright and the taped-off edges of the pattern read sharply, with no scuffing to soften the stencil lines. This is the grade to pick if you want the design as vivid as it gets.
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel Rarity
Orange Peel is Industrial Grade, the second-lowest of the standard weapon tiers, sitting just one step above Consumer Grade. It's a common drop rather than a rare pull.
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel Case and Collection
This finish belongs to The Dust 2 Collection, which debuted in November 2013 alongside the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. It never came from a weapon case — copies are obtained through the collection itself, such as a map drop or a trade-up contract, rather than case odds.
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel Patterns
This finish has a fixed design — the paint-seed index doesn't change how it looks, since every copy carries the same taped-off orange pattern. There's no "best pattern" or blue-gem seed to chase here; wear and float are what separate one copy from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Orange Peel exists as a regular finish and a Souvenir version, but there's no StatTrak variant. Souvenir copies first appeared in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package, and later Major tournaments kept handing out their own Dust II souvenir packages carrying the same finish over the years that followed.
Five-SeveN | Orange Peel Price
Factory New commands the top of the Orange Peel ladder, ahead of every lower grade, and it lands as a premium pick within the finish's own lineup. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
What makes Factory New the best grade for Orange Peel?
Because the finish runs from 0.06 to 0.80 float, Factory New sits at the very bottom of that range, where the orange paint looks its brightest and the masking-tape pattern shows the sharpest edges. Every grade below it trades some of that crispness for a lower price.
Is the Orange Peel Souvenir version different from this one?
The look is identical — the Souvenir tag just marks where the item came from. This regular finish is obtained through The Dust 2 Collection itself, while Souvenir copies were handed out in Major-tournament souvenir packages starting with DreamHack 2013 and continuing at later Majors.
Why is there no StatTrak Orange Peel?
Not every finish gets a StatTrak counterpart, and Orange Peel is one that Valve never added one to. Whether a skin gets StatTrak comes down to how it was released, and this finish simply launched without that option, so none exists to collect.
