Glock-18 | Candy Apple (Field-Tested)

Glock-18 | Candy Apple (Field-Tested)

The Glock-18 | Candy Apple (Field-Tested) is a Mil-Spec pistol skin with a red-and-black scheme, its parts spray-painted in solid colors, here in its most worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the candy-red look, and thanks to a capped float the wear never gets extreme.

Design

At its core this is a color-first finish: solid spray paint across the pistol's individual parts, deep candy red played off against matte black. Valve designed it to make an impression through palette alone rather than detailed graphics, and it comes with a fitting in-game line: "Great on cars, better on weapons."

Glock-18 | Candy Apple (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Field-Tested is the top-worn grade this finish offers. Its float is capped at 0.30 rather than the full 1.0, so even here the skin never reaches the heavy battering of a true Battle-Scarred piece — expect light-to-moderate scuffing on the panels and edges while the red stays clearly legible. It's the roughest the finish gets, and it's still fairly tame.

Glock-18 | Candy Apple Rarity

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier, the base level of the standard weapon grades. It's the most common grade to come across, which keeps the finish approachable even for newer players.

Glock-18 | Candy Apple Case and Collection

The Italy Collection is home to this skin, which launched on November 27, 2013 with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. The Mil-Spec tier makes up about 79.92% of souvenir-package drops as the base grade (an odds figure shared across the tier), so it's the one that turns up most.

Glock-18 | Candy Apple Patterns

No random pattern variation applies to this finish — the solid spray-paint parts place the red-and-black scheme the same way on each copy. With no paint seed or "blue gem" to seek out, the only meaningful differences between copies are wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You can find a Souvenir version, which first showed up in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and again in the EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. What you won't find is a StatTrak edition: those are generated only by StatTrak-enabled weapon cases, and this skin comes through The Italy Collection's souvenir packages, so no counter variant exists.

Glock-18 | Candy Apple Price

Field-Tested is the most affordable grade of this finish, sitting below Minimal Wear and Factory New — the entry-level route to the candy-red look for players who care more about the color than a flawless surface. It's the cheapest way to run the design. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does Field-Tested look?

Moderately, but not badly. You'll see scuffing on the edges and panels, more than Minimal Wear shows, though the red-and-black layout stays fully readable. Because the float is capped at 0.30, this grade never reaches the extreme wear of a full-scale Battle-Scarred skin, so it holds up better than you might expect.

Why is there no Battle-Scarred Candy Apple?

The finish is float-capped at 0.30, and the game never rolls a copy above that. Battle-Scarred and Well-Worn need much higher float values, so they simply can't exist here — Field-Tested is the most worn grade the skin reaches, and its wear stays relatively contained.

Is Field-Tested worth it over Minimal Wear?

Only if price is your top concern. Minimal Wear looks cleaner for a modest step up in cost, so many buyers prefer it. Field-Tested makes sense when you want the candy-red Glock as cheaply as possible and are fine with a bit more visible wear on the paint.
