Glock-18 | Red Tire (Battle-Scarred)
The Glock-18 | Red Tire (Battle-Scarred) is an Industrial Grade pistol skin wearing its black and red tire-tread pattern in the most weathered state on offer. It's the cheapest way into the design, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.
Design
Red Tire keeps things simple: a black and red tire-tread graphic spray-painted over the Glock's body, an automotive-themed finish that trades busy detailing for one strong motif. Designed by Valve, it comes with the fitting in-game line "Burn rubber."
Glock-18 | Red Tire (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Battle-Scarred is the top of the finish's float band, but that band is capped at 0.55 rather than the usual 1.0 — so this grade never reaches the extreme end of the wear scale that other skins hit. Fading and paint loss are heavy across the frame and the red is muted, yet the tread pattern stays legible and the skin looks less trashed than a full-range Battle-Scarred would.
Glock-18 | Red Tire Rarity
Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light blue tier, sitting low in the standard weapon grades at just one step above Consumer. It's a common grade, part of why the skin stays inexpensive.
Glock-18 | Red Tire Case and Collection
Red Tire is a member of The 2021 Vertigo Collection, which launched with Operation Riptide in September 2021. It was never sold in a weapon case — copies originate from the Vertigo Souvenir Packages distributed at Major tournaments, meaning supply is tied to those events.
Glock-18 | Red Tire Patterns
Because the tire-tread graphic is laid out identically on each copy, the finish has no random pattern variation — no paint seed or "blue gem" to seek out. The only things that distinguish one copy from the next are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak variant of this skin, as StatTrak weapons are minted exclusively inside weapon cases and Red Tire wasn't a case drop. A Souvenir version is available instead, drawn from the Major Vertigo Souvenir Packages and first released in the Stockholm 2021 Vertigo Souvenir Package.
Glock-18 | Red Tire Price
Battle-Scarred is the lowest-priced grade of the finish — the entry-level option for players who care more about running the design than owning a clean copy. If you want the tire-tread Glock for as little as possible, this is the cheapest door into an already affordable mid-tier finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Red Tire still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy fading and paint loss, the black-and-red tread graphic keeps the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the look — the pattern still comes through clearly.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Red Tire look completely destroyed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.55 instead of the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never hit the most extreme wear a normal skin reaches. The result is a Battle-Scarred that stays more legible, with the tread pattern holding together better than you might expect.
Which gloves go with the Red Tire?
Its black-and-red color scheme suits a warm, high-contrast loadout, so red or black gloves work best — red wraps echo the tread color, while black keeps the look grounded. Match it with other red-accented weapons for a coordinated loadout.
