Glock-18 | Sand Dune (Well-Worn)
The Glock-18 | Sand Dune (Well-Worn) is an Industrial Grade pistol skin with a gray body of solid, spray-painted sand-scheme parts, here in a more battle-worn state. It's a cheaper route into the finish, with wear the muted palette still partly disguises.
Design
At its core the finish is a muted gray base with individual components painted in flat solid tones — a bare-bones, tactical design with no graphics to it. It's a Valve creation, and it carries a line of in-game lore: "Gonzo journalist Alex Kincaide disappeared after traveling to The Maghreb to cover Operation Vanguard."
Glock-18 | Sand Dune (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
On the finish's 0.06–0.80 float scale, Well-Worn sits near the top end. Here the wear is clear — scuffing and paint loss across the slide and edges where the color thins out — though the muted scheme keeps things from looking outright ruined. For players who care more about price than a spotless surface, this grade delivers the design for less.
Glock-18 | Sand Dune Rarity
Rarity: Industrial Grade, the light-blue tier — one of the lower grades among the standard weapon tiers. Pulling one is common, which is why the finish stays so widely available.
Glock-18 | Sand Dune Case and Collection
Part of The Alpha Collection, Sand Dune arrived with Operation Bravo back in September 2013. Being one of the older collections, its supply now sits with players and on the market, so buyers get copies secondhand rather than from a fresh drop.
Glock-18 | Sand Dune Patterns
The finish has no random pattern roll: the gray base and solid-color parts are placed the same on each copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Wear and float are all that separate one from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
No StatTrak edition exists — StatTrak weapons are produced only within cases, and this finish isn't distributed through one, so a kill-counter version was never created. Souvenir is off the table too, since those come only from Major-tournament packages and The Alpha Collection has never been a Major drop.
Glock-18 | Sand Dune Price
Well-Worn sits low on the finish's ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget way into the design for players who won't pay the mid-grade premium. Even at this rung, the finish is a high-end pick among Glock-18 skins. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Well-Worn Sand Dune look?
Noticeably. Expect visible scuffing and paint thinning on the slide and around the edges — more than Field-Tested but short of the heavy battering of Battle-Scarred. The muted gray scheme keeps it recognizable, so it still reads clearly as Sand Dune in-game.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Only if price is the priority. Field-Tested looks a good deal tidier for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred.
Was Sand Dune ever unboxed from a case?
It comes from The Alpha Collection, introduced with Operation Bravo in September 2013, rather than a modern weapon case. As an early collection its copies now trade on the secondary market, so today you buy it from other players rather than opening for it.
