M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor (Factory New)
The M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor (Factory New) is a Classified rifle skin — a chrome body drenched in electric, color-shifting blue with translucent smoke-like waves drifting across it. Factory New is the top grade, showing that anodized blue at its most vivid and saturated.
Design
Blue Phosphor coats the M4A1-S in a metallic, anodized blue that slides between deep cobalt and brighter electric tones as the light moves across it, with translucent wavy lines curling over the chrome like clouds of smoke. The lower polymer parts stay matte black, throwing the luminous blue into sharp relief. It's a Valve design inspired by phosphorescence — the afterglow substances give off once energized — and it carries a playful in-game line: "Feeling blue?"
M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor (Factory New) Float and Wear
The finish is float-capped at 0.08, so it only ever exists in two grades — Factory New (float 0.00–0.07) and Minimal Wear. Factory New is the top of that short ladder, where the anodized blue reads at full saturation and the chrome underneath catches the light without a mark to break it up. If you want the color effect exactly as the artist intended, this is the grade that delivers it.
M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor Rarity
Rarity: Classified — the pink tier, second from the top of the standard weapon grades and sitting just under Covert. It's an uncommon grade to see drop.
M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor Case and Collection
Blue Phosphor belongs to The Control Collection, which arrived with Operation Broken Fang in December 2020. The Classified tier drops at roughly 3.2% (a rate shared across the tier's skins), and with the operation long finished, the collection is out of active circulation — most copies now change hands on the market rather than through fresh drops.
M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor Patterns
The finish carries slight pattern variation — the translucent smoke-like waves fall a little differently from one copy to the next, placed by the paint seed. There's no famous "blue gem" chase here, though, so the differences stay subtle and rarely move the price.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak version of Blue Phosphor. A StatTrak counter is baked in only when a skin drops from a weapon case, and Control Collection skins came as operation drops rather than case unboxings — so the variant was never generated. A Souvenir edition doesn't exist either: Souvenir weapons come solely from Major-tournament packages, and The Control Collection was never a Major drop.
M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor Price
Factory New sits at the very top of the Blue Phosphor ladder as the higher of its two grades, and the skin as a whole is high-end — one of the pricier M4A1-S finishes, deep into grail territory. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New the best Blue Phosphor you can buy?
It's the highest grade available, so yes — the anodized blue shows at full intensity and the chrome stays unmarked, which is exactly what most collectors want from this finish. It commands the top price of the two wears, but for a skin this deep into grail territory, the flawless surface is the whole point.
Why does Blue Phosphor only come in two wears?
The finish is float-capped at 0.08, an unusually low ceiling. Because the game never rolls a copy above that value, the skin can only land in Factory New or Minimal Wear — Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred simply can't exist for it, which keeps the whole run looking good.
Which gloves match the Blue Phosphor?
Lean into the blue. Gloves with electric or cobalt-blue tones — think Sport Gloves | Vice or blue-heavy Specialists — echo the anodized coating, while a black-and-blue pair nods to the matte polymer lowers. It also pairs naturally with other blue-forward pieces for a cohesive, cold-toned loadout.
