M4A1-S | Cyrex (Field-Tested)

M4A1-S | Cyrex (Field-Tested)

The M4A1-S | Cyrex (Field-Tested) is a Covert rifle skin with a high-tech black, white, and red design. Field-Tested is the most common and recognizable way to own it — a little honest wear at a friendlier price than the top grades.

Design

The finish is all mechanical styling: a custom high-tech design in black, white, and red, built on panels and circuitry rather than busy graphics. It began as a community submission from the artist Nextgenz, and it carries a line of in-game dialogue: "Sebastien is coming for me Valeria... we don't have much time - Chase Turner, Coalition Defector."

M4A1-S | Cyrex (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Landing in the middle of the 0.00–0.50 float range, Field-Tested picks up light scratching along the edges and raised surfaces. The white panels take the wear most visibly, but the red accents stay bold and the overall design reads clearly. This is the grade most players picture when they think of Cyrex — a solid balance of looks and cost.

M4A1-S | Cyrex Rarity

Rarity: Covert. That's the red tier, the highest of the standard weapon grades and the rarest class of skin to draw from a case.

M4A1-S | Cyrex Case and Collection

This finish sits in The Breakout Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Breakout Weapon Case, which arrived with Operation Breakout in July 2014. The Covert tier drops at roughly 0.64% from the case — the scarcest rate available — and because the Operation Breakout Case is no longer in the active drop pool, supply stays fixed, so the market is where most copies come from.

M4A1-S | Cyrex Patterns

Cyrex carries no random pattern variation: the black, white, and red design sits the same on every copy, so there's nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to search for. The only things that separate copies are wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You can also find a StatTrak™ Cyrex, which brings a confirmed-kill counter; it's a rarer, costlier drop from the Operation Breakout Weapon Case, and the counter is permanent — it follows the item through every trade or sale. There's no Souvenir variant, since Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament packages and this finish was never part of one.

M4A1-S | Cyrex Price

Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than the near-mint grades while keeping the design fully recognizable, which is a big reason it's the most-owned version. It's a premium M4A1-S finish that still won't break the bank. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested Cyrex look worn?

A little. Expect light scratching on the edges and some wear on the white panels, but the red accents and the mechanical design stay sharp and easy to read in-game. For most buyers the trade-off is well worth it, since the look holds up strongly at a much lower cost.

Is Field-Tested the best value Cyrex?

For most players, yes. It costs a good deal less than Minimal Wear and Factory New while keeping the finish clearly legible, and it's the most common grade on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind heavier wear.

Does the wear affect the red accents?

Not much. Field-Tested wear shows up mainly on the lighter panels and along the edges, while the bold red detailing that defines the finish stays vivid. The design's high-contrast palette is part of why it tolerates a mid-range float so gracefully.
