M4A1-S | Cyrex (Minimal Wear)

M4A1-S | Cyrex (Minimal Wear)

The M4A1-S | Cyrex (Minimal Wear) is a Covert rifle skin with an industrial black, white, and red design. Minimal Wear keeps the finish looking almost pristine while sitting a step below Factory New in price.

Design

Built on a futuristic mechanical motif, Cyrex mixes black, white, and red into a custom high-tech look — panels and circuitry styling rather than camo or graffiti. The community artist Nextgenz created it, and it ships with a snippet of in-game dialogue: "Sebastien is coming for me Valeria... we don't have much time - Chase Turner, Coalition Defector."

M4A1-S | Cyrex (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

Sitting just above Factory New on the 0.00–0.50 float range, Minimal Wear shows only the faintest edge wear, if any at all. The red accents stay vivid and the white panels remain bright, so at arm's length it's tough to tell apart from the top grade. It's the value-minded way to get a near-mint copy.

M4A1-S | Cyrex Rarity

Rarity: Covert, the red tier. That's the highest class among the standard weapon grades and the rarest type of skin to unbox from a case.

M4A1-S | Cyrex Case and Collection

Part of The Breakout Collection, this skin comes out of the Operation Breakout Weapon Case that launched alongside Operation Breakout in July 2014. Its Covert grade pulls at about 0.64% from the case — the rarest tier there — and since the Operation Breakout Case has left the active drop pool, supply is capped, with most copies bought on the market instead of unboxed.

M4A1-S | Cyrex Patterns

There's no random pattern roll on Cyrex — the black, white, and red artwork is placed the same way on each copy, meaning no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth tracking down. Copies differ only by wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There is a StatTrak™ variant, which tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it comes from the Operation Breakout Weapon Case as a scarcer, more expensive drop, and its counter is permanent, staying with the item through trades and sales. No Souvenir version was ever made — Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament packages, and this finish never featured in one.

M4A1-S | Cyrex Price

Minimal Wear slots just under Factory New on the price ladder while looking nearly the same — a premium M4A1-S finish that rewards buyers who don't want to pay for the top grade. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Minimal Wear noticeably worse than Factory New?

Barely. At this grade the finish carries only trace wear on the edges, and the black, white, and red design holds its color and legibility. Most players can't tell a Minimal Wear from a Factory New in-game, which is exactly why it's a popular middle-ground buy.

Why is Cyrex considered a premium M4A1-S skin?

It's a Covert — the top rarity — from a retired case, so supply is fixed and demand for the silenced M4's flashiest finishes stays high. The clean, futuristic look and its long-standing popularity keep it priced in the premium bracket among M4A1-S skins.

Does the finish have any rare pattern variants?

No. Cyrex applies identically to every copy, so there's no seed or alignment to hunt. What separates one from another is purely float and wear, which makes Minimal Wear one of the cleaner grades you can pick up without paying Factory New money.
